At times? He has an obscene hatred of Chelsea that comes to the fore pretty much all the time.

For me I don't care what he writes about Chelsea. It is the fact that his objective is to derail threads, or at least it has been. He just devalues articles and wastes people's time.

I don't mind that he hates us, each to their own and all that, or that it even lets his hatred of us cloud his judgement (in those circumstances i can just show the site what a plank he is) but i ain't having him posing as one of us after the bile he has spoke about our club.

Lol...

You guys have derailed this thread on your own. Half of these comments are about Wahl, and he commented with a fairly uncontroversial post

Missing the point, he could make the best post in 606 history, damage is already done.

And trying to get back more onpoint does unpopular have to remain Chelsea related or could be about anything?

Whenever a famous person dies i don't get the need of the internet to suddenly start morning them if they didn't know them outside of passing or impact therelife in anyway.

I mean don't get me wrong every death is sad but ultimately thousands of people die worldwide every day. However these days you get say an actor dying and this place alone has about 10 articles on it when I bet 90% of people on here didn't know the person or barely acknowledged them while they were alive.

Agree with this.

What springs to my mind the most was Princes Diana's death. The reaction was completely crazy!

That is because you changed tact on the thread and decided to defend him. Hence leading some of us to remind you why there is a large majority view on this forum agst him.

1) I wish Hazard well, but I don't think he will be particularly successful at Real Madrid. Firstly, his track record in the champions league has been poor, and whilst it hasn't helped playing in an average Chelsea; he is in a similar position at Real, who currently are very far from their best. Secondly, the expectations of playing at Real will be too much for him - you've just got to look at the crazy level of criticism Bale receives. Also, as a personality he is a bad fit - from all accounts he lives a quiet life, which might be at odds with the lavish Galactico lifestyle. He would have been a far better fit at Barcelona or Bayern Munich tbh.
------------------------------------------------------
If you'd said that two years ago I'd have completely agreed with you. Now I think he's actually the perfect complement to the Galatico lifestyle at that club, the odd fit but the right fit. I don't envision him improving his stats in terms of goals/assists to break the 20 barrier in either category, but his teammates will absolutely love his unselfish approach on the pitch. The real question is when will be start declining.

Completely agree with #3 btw. I'd even add to it by saying it reflects the impulsive nature by which we appoint our managers more than any other we've made in the past, yet another demonstration of why we'll never be able to evolve our identity until Roman's out of the picture (not necessarily a bad thing, just a fact). Targeting Lampard as I see it has two major plus points, (1) placates the fans, (2) emphasizes a priority on youth by giving them a Chelsea legend as boss to directly look up too. Two points fans will naturally be behind, but when has the club ever truly given a damn about those things? Hence, what's the guarantee they won't change their minds again this time next year? And the cycle of instability continues.....

Great point.

I would also add that Lampard has not nearly done enough in football to guarantee patience. There is going to be a lot of scepticism from the start, and those voices will only get louder if he under achieves. So there is no guarantee that the fans and clubs will patient with him; the club was hardly patient with RDM tbh...
