He can't comment on articles you create but can reply to you in other people's articles.

Although I think he won't be able to see your posts in other people's articles.

not a fan of filtering. i've been filtered by a couple of spurs fans and a leicester fan. no idea why but now i can't comment on their threads. it's better to keep debating, maybe things will get more courteous in the future.

It can work. I never used to filter but recently I've filtered 5 people that I don't think add anything to debate, instead they just seem to WUM, insult others or derail discussion. Frankly this site is a nicer place for not reading their bile.
