National Hunt horse racing should be banned tbf.

If horse racing was banned then even more horses would die than the small amount of fatalities racing gets a year. The amount of money it generates for horses to be fed, cared for, looked after before and after racing and their careers keeps so many horses well and allows most to live long happy lives etc

Fatalities happen in all sports, I mean are we going to ban trains because of the 100+ suicide deaths a year from people jumping in front of them?

The use of the whip however is more of a discussion, but a lot of horses do need it to keep them straight and aware and not going off course and it is a tool needed for safety however obviously over use is the issue but there are lengthy bans and fines in place now.

So honestly I don’t think Racing actually do a bad job with their regulations for flat and NH. And the pro’s of horse racing far outweigh the small cons for Horses lives in general

If National Hunt racing were banned then a certain type of race horse would stop being bred. That's all. Flat racing would continue, and money made and invested more into that instead.

As someone whose family was heavily involved with horses, this is a subject I'm well versed in.
