decent game, spoiled by the inbreds in the south stand, booing Tompkins most of the time, and Graham some of the time....They would have been better having a go at their own, Sinfield who never performs for England,or Peacock who is past it. They dont deserve a game if those fans dont know the difference between club shirts and International ones

Got to agree thought Peacock should not have been captin and sinfield is out of form but what can you do ??
We have to get out of the mentality that any one who plays for Leeds are the best.
As for booing tomkins/ graham that is just the stupidity of the fans they cannot get past the club thing and it will never do the game any good.

It is a good format just the same, it gives the England coach a chance to blood some youngsters to see how they handle the rise in standards but he neglected to do so.
Still England have Ellis & Burgess and more then likely Widdop to join the team yet, so all is not lost as long as they each learnt something from the hit-out.

True we spend far to much time depending on the `old school` of players it is time we put through more of our new talent but untill we get a coach with that sort of vision we will never be the team we ant to be.

England looked terrible.... completely outclassed by a group of second rate Aussies and Kiwis.

Peacock interview was laughable, he said something along the lines of "this will be similar to what we meet in the 4 nations".

No Jamie, that exiles team who had a couple of training sessions together will not be near the same level as either Australia or New Zealand, looks like another few pastings later this year.

Oh and Peacock is past it, and shouldn't get near the England jersey again, was completely dominated in this match, as he has been against every decent pack since his comeback.

The likes of Peacock, Sinfield, Myler should not be the 17, rather not currently good enough, or past it.

I think Morley, peacock and Sinfield are past their sell by dates as regards international football. Lets hope McNamara gives some younger forwards a chance when we play France in October, just before the start of the 4 nations.

Ron, I thought Myler did ok tbf, I thought it was a good enough run out but Peacock is fooling himself if thats what he thinks

The problem with Myler is he purely relies on others to create openings for him, and thats great in a team like Wire, where we make plenty of offloads, plenty of breaks and plenty of tries.

But playing for England, who yesterday seemed to drive it up the middle and kick every set (especially second half) meant he barely has any impact on the game whatsoever bar supporting the Graham break.

Against the Aussies and Kiwis his mediocre defence would be highlighted even more, and we wouldn't be making many break in open play, so I think he would be very limited, and shouldn;t be included in the 4 nations, same goes for Peacock and Sinfield as I meantioned above, they're both average now, and not able to make any impact at international level.

Anyone think that Wilkin was the surprise package? Best I've ever seen him play. Sinfield played as well as any England player. His kicking game kept us in the match. All the forwards did no better than ok.

posted on 11/6/11

I think Wilkin made more breaks than the halves did. I thought Robinson was pretty good too. (Same as the 4N last year. Fashionable or not, Robbo is the one who seems to create for the players around him.) I think Robinson has delivered every time he's been picked. I dunno how to work him into the team if Roby plays 80 minutes.

Jamie Peacock has criticised the "disgraceful" booing by fans of his Leeds club aimed at Wigan's Sam Tomkins in Friday's International Origin game.

The conduct of some of the 14,174 crowd inside Headingley stunned Rhinos forward and England captain Peacock.

"When you come to support England, you should support England no matter who is playing for them," said Peacock.

"I'm England first and Leeds Rhinos second and some other people should get that mentality."

that clear enough for you mrs ronnie

farmduck Robinson can play in the halfs as well, you could have Robinson on the bench and swap him with Roby and the halfs if they are not making ground, or the right calls from the dummy half positions.
Just imagine how much that will tire the oppositions defence with Roby and Robinson taking turns at running form dummy half. combine that with Broughs kicking and you would have a potent attack.
Well said Jamie Peacock

Peacock is shot as a player, but he has always come across as honest if a little bit slow....... so I beleive him if he says the majority were Leeds fans booing.

Saying that, I don't really see the big deal, maybe those Leeds fans were supporting the exiles, they can boo whoever they want.
