The Kensington Rovers.

Should’ve beaten them to it last season.

Not with that defence.

Top 4........we'll just have to outscore teams to compensate for our dodgy defence.

We'll take CFC's or THFC's spot.

Should have beaten the other lot up the road too, if we weren't so awful away from home.

We're like fecking Bolivia.

Your games are gonna be good to watch this season as a neutral (kind of)

City
Liverpool

Spurs

Chelsea/Arsenal/United in any order.

Really can't call the 4th spot at the moment, should be a good fight for it.

Spurs could easily fall into the fight too.

Top 4 if we sign at least 1 defender before Thurs. People forget that having Bellerin and Holding back will be like 2 new signings. Chelsea could easily crash and burn with Lampard and no Hazard and Utd likewise with the unhappy and problem causing Pogba and the clueless Ole in charge

Chelsea are there for the taking and maybe Spurs I don’t see United finishing anywhere other than 6th because of one conundrum, Ole Gunnar who’s very inexperienced at this level.

Hard to tell right now since the window is not close yet but I'd say Chelsea are, at least on paper looking weaker than last season.
Spurs have bought Ndombele, whom is a great player but would that be enough to get them top4? I'm not too sure, especially with 2 of their key players entering the last year of their contracts.

i don't get why people are going on like Spurs are some powerhouse football club.
They finished below CFC last season, 2 point's ahead of us. And weren't they 20+ points behind the top 2 last season too.

I think your scrap it out with utd for 4th.

Chelsea will finish top 10, not sure where.

Not sure why me putting them in a distant 3rd place behind City and Pool means I think they're a powerhouse

Sorry, taken out of context, but i just don't see why people think they will be challenging for the title.

1. Direct CL qualification. Wouldn't mind if we did it via a Europa win. ( Any excuse to throw a party)

2. Finishing within 15-20 points of the eventual winners could also count as progress in my book.

With Xhaka as captain I think 5th is the best we can hope for. If Ceballos can take his spot and basically just not be as slow as Xhaka at everything we can get top 4 with a bit of luck. we have lost a major attacking force in Ramsey and replaced him with Pepe (not like for like but Pepe needs to replace Ramseys attacking threat). Other teams around us have strengthened so Im not sure we have done enough to overtake them.

Nothing as changed for us in defence and even if we do get that Lad from Celtic it won’t make any difference when we’ve got that Clown Mustafi in defence plus you’ve got that Brain dead plank Xhaka in Midfield so 5th at best it is again!

If we get in Upamecano and Tierney, we could finish 3rd or even 2nd. If we did that we could get Mbappe next year, if we could find a way to afford him.

Another transitional season I reckon. New signings and the kids to bed in, last chance saloon for others.. It will take another two windows to replace those that don't make the cut. We could finish anywhere from 3rd to 7th! A good cup run would be good though. It really is hard to call, and don't think last seasons top six are nailed on,Everton,Wolves and one other could easily crash the party. Interesting (and probably frustrating) times ahead!

Just looking at the squads currently, and preseason form, any of United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs could finish 3rd and 4th.

Much has been made of Pogba wanting to leave but there has been no concrete offers. Neither Real or Juventus have the money to make an offer. Lukaku has made noise on leaving than Pogba. Add to that that United got an actual RB that could attack and defend and improved in the air at the back with Maguire, it seems people are more hopeful of Ole being sacked and United falling behind. The team points wise when joined were third. He made up a big deficit to even be in contention for top four when we all thought a chance at it was over.

Arsenal have to rely on Holding and Bellarin staying fit. Both very prone to injury. No other CB are at a top 4 level in the squad and that's a big risk. Against weaker bottom 6 sides that might not be an issue but your Everton, Leicester, Wolves, will be more difficult. The midfield has improved but not by much. Attack very good.

Tottenham don't have any decent RB at the moment and Ndombele replaces Dembele, who they sold in January. They've not made any more additions while Toby and Eriksen may leave now or in January otherwise they leave for free next summer.

Chelsea added a very good winger and they have a decent team. Would be wrong to write them off. Lampard will want to integrate some of the highly rated youth players, ones who have played and performed well in the championship. I believe one or two even played under him at Derby so they'll know what he wants.

It's hard to write anyone off at the moment.

Comfortable top 4 with Chelsea and Tottenham regressing. Add Coutinho and a decent CB and a sneaky little tilt at the title could be coming.
