Meslier has officially signed.
We now have 3 inexperienced goalkeepers challenging the resident clown

He played a few games last season though. The defence, apart from a wobble or two, did well on Sunday. More confident this time around than I was last season with BPF between the sticks.

French lad in already.

Said all along that KP will remain, his heart and soul are with the club and I think it would be in his career plan to remain with us until he hangs up his boots, however with our owner anything could happen, Kalvin, Klichy, anybody could go for less than their true value.

Not expecting to be overwhelmed by inwards activity, wouldn't surprise me if the numbers quoted are just hot air.

KP is only in the building because no club wants him for silly money.

Sounds like the Arsenal lad is done. I am not a fan of too many loans so hope that is the last one. Promising signing.

Would be good to get Kent and a defender.

Played 28 times in the League last year.

5 clean sheets in his first 5 games.

I would rather we sign this type than an Andy Lonergan type tbh.

If he turned out decent and we went up we could have a keeper to replace Kiko, who although I think is JUST about good enough to get us up I’m not sold on him at all.

who do you think should mate?

Whoever MB thinks he’s better than.

Don’t think we have an 18 anymore

Nketiah is a great signing at this level I think. Quick, good movement and can finish. Lot of Arsenal fans I know wanted to see him given more of a shot in their first team this year.

Meslier also looks like a good signing to me. Lorient not a bad club, and he was first choice for them aged 18. Will be interesting to see how it unfolds, but he is clearly well thought of in France.

Will be interesting to see
A) when Bielsa feels he’s ready
B) if Bielsa actually uses him in squad
C) if he can make any sort of impact on the pitch

Is he an out and out striker or a diverse forward? - just wonder if MB fancies him out wide also?

if he's as good as the reports say, ample cover if Bamford gets injured.. plus Roberts in the mix, and Costa...

of course, we'll have to wait and see

posted on 8/8/19

I was wondering that. Cannot see him coming to be a bit part so wonder if he is a winger/10 option who will cover for Bamford if and when required.

Think we'll get the two Inter youngsters in and that'll conclude our window. PH said yesterday that we aint singing both Kent and Nkiteh, its one or the other.

Yorkie.. MB likes players to be diverse so I'd imagine that's the case?

All perfectly good questions.

Let’s buckle in & see what happens I guess.

For the avoidance of any doubt, I’d much prefer players incoming who are ours, not developing someone else’s talent at the expense of our own.

But we are seemingly where we are.
