Agree. Even if we don't have the best season, finish 5th or 6th, I'll be a holy fan of we have games like that every week.

It's good to go and watch a game and feel entertained again.

That game could have ended up 5-5, it was just nice to see us get the ball forward quickly rather than the slow turgid stuff we’ve been accustomed to over recent years

The Welshman and the Scot in the team are also both English.

You don't deserve yesterday, you wanted it to end before the team had been announced ffs

It finished 4-0 though, because we were clinical. Rashford and Martial stepped up and if they do that more often we will pick up a lot of points.

Over the course of the season, I think our midfield will let us down. Its a big weakness. We needed at least one more signing this summer but it seems like we could not get the player we wanted/needed.

Just wish Pogba would grow up. He had the chance to shut down the rumours but didn’t take that opportunity and just added to the questions

Was poor yesterday and lost the ball countless times - people will see the assists but we won’t get away with his poor midfield work against better teams.

Other than him, very impressed with Maguire and AWB. Feels good to talk about signings that have actually worked out!

Agree. Decent defence now and the attack will have good days and some Indifferent ones. We need a DM though, then have McTominay and Pogba just ahead of him.

lets not get carried away after 1 game

Wolves away will be difficult, in midfield especially I don't see us having much controlled possession and will need to be clinical again.

Lots of positives to enjoy from yesterday though, what an opener.

City needed VAR to help them out, Liverpool looked leaky at the back, Spurs looked lethargic, Arsenal lucky to get the win, and Chelsea are not relevant. We are the only ones who look like title challengers this season. The rest of them will struggle to make top 4.

They will also refuse us the space on the counter that Chelsea offered.

Wolves will.be happy to allow us possession and counter us.

Wouldn't be to surprised if we lost to Wolves. We definitely rode our luck, the midfield seriously needs addressing.

Very happy Ole has some players that can actually play fast counter attacking football

To be honest Wan Bissaka was a safe bet, Maguire too, even if they were expensive they are English, PL proven and have the right attitude.

If Maguire can make Lindelof feel comfortable and bring out the best in him as well then it's a bonus.

And they have no question marks about best position/how to get the best out of them.

is greenwood going to get minutes across this season, or not be in the squad when sanchez is back

Didnt feel that at all to me, difference was we were clinical in our chance taking when we had then, all this talk of a new era, feels like old times needs to cool down, it was an efficent performance and despite the scoreline not a dominant one

................

Robbie Earle summed it up on the commentary. He seems to get in most trouble when he tries to slow it down.

It’s nice to look a threat on the counter again. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt that we can turn defence into a goal in a matter of seconds.

.................

Greenwood will see plenty of minutes across the season, be it in the Premiership, the Europey and the League Cup.
