My favourite goal this weekend (and this may come as a surprise!) was James' one from yesterday. Not the best goal but for the celebrations afterwards. You could see what it meant to him and it was also great the way the whole team celebrated together. Something we saw all gane yesterday and a point that Rio and Keane have made recently in that everyone should be involved. Great to see.

Also, and I know it's only one game, I did express doubts about Maguire's signing but he lookes good yesterday like he'd been there all of his career. Carry on like that and I'll be more than happy to eat my words about him.

The celebrations after the James goal were special indeed.

Rosso’s top three:

1. Garner (1)
2. Garner (2)
3. Garner (YouTube highlights of 1 & 2)

*Fixed

It was Garner’s pass that made Ramazani’s goal tbf, and his second strike wasn’t too shabby.

There’s an argument for him featuring in each of the top three...

Yep you see could what it means to him and the likes of Mctominay and AWB too. These young lads are in it together and that is only good for team bonding.

Seen on the highlights McT rallying them in the huddle after the 1st or 2nd goal too, not sure which it was.

Rosso, I have to have the volume turned down at work. Who is the LB in the U23 game?

Brandon Williams VC - Luke Shaw should be looking nervously over his shoulder, maybe next season.

Brandon Williams. Another fantastic prospect.

TRS wrote about him after Friday’s game, and I highlighted him as my pick to watch for the U23s this season in my 2018/9 season review.

He’s right footed; a marauding, determined, tough as nails lad, and a proper Manc.

I noticed that too. It was the second goal.

One of the most impressive things this whole weekend for me was how we turned up the intensity *after* the second and third goals.

You have mentioned him before I believe. I will keep an eye on him.

Isn't it great being positive about United?

Still work to do but it looks like we're in the right track anyway.

What I failed to add here was that it was good to see all the first team coaches and manager watching from the side lines in the U18 game.

I wonder if Jose ever did that.

Not that I remember, although he used to send Faria and others to watch.

How could I forget Totti and Batistuta. Loved watching those two.
