We spent £12m on defensive re-inforcements before the CL play off round.

Whoever identified the players or the guy who refused to put them on the park should be to blame for this.

We shouldn't have sold tierney. He would have been ideal

Hindsight’s a wonderful thing
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Rats...what kind of mind does this creature have? He knows full well that Tierney wouldnt have played.

I can understand you lot looking for bites this morning but not a self-proclaimed Celtic supporter.

Mental.

He sets em up we knock em down

There must surely have been a few alarm bells going off when team selection was announced? Taking your fulcrum out of the team didn’t work at all previously. There have to be better managerial contingencies than that.

I hope Brown breaks his leg tbh
----------------------------------------------------

You will all be loving him again when he is back to 'using all his experience' doing snidey kicks off the ball to try and suck Morelos into getting sent off in the OF game.

Then he will laugh like a deranged ned and you will all lap it up.

Then Lenny will do his wee airplane thing and all this will be forgotten about.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Heed and Timmy will no doubt but I think the majority gave up on that a while ago.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Rangers fans were pleased when Lennon was appointed because he isn't Rodgers and because he there are question marks over his ability to handle pressure.

When it started going wrong at Hibs he slated the players publicly which then caused major issues behind the scenes.

Lennons first reaction to last night - blame the players.

These are guys who have won trophy after trophy. If Lennon starts losing games and pointing the finger at the players then it wont end well.

Rangers fans are also delighted that Brown plays because it gives us a chance. If he gets pressed 30-40 yards out facing his own goal he doesn't have the ability/pace/composure to deal with it. He hoofs it out of the side of the park.

Celtic have created a whole new problem here. If Lennon drops Brown it isn't going to help the mood behind the scenes.

If he keeps playing Brown you are opening the door to Rangers in OF matches at least.

I find it astonishing that Celtic with the resources they have are in a situation like this so early in the season.

They have started the domestic season like a train and will continue to power past these teams. But with Lennon in charge there still always seems that the possibility of an implosion exists.

ODonnell and Taylor will come in next week and help steady the ship though

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Only problem with your argument is that Gerrard blames his players more than any manager in the history of the game in Scotland.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It’s a good job the Rangers players respect Gerrard then 👍

Its a blessing in disguise (apart from the thursday sunday fixtures) we will be playing the same days as Rangers and had we qualified (i was sure we would - more fool me) - we wouldnt have seen any of the dough anyway.

If we did seems that either Lennon or the DOF cant be trusted with it. FS Julien was signed ages ago we should have played our best players and switched it up saturday against dunferline for Flook sake

=====

yup

"he can't be playing mcgregor at left back, surely not"

players walk onto pitch and over he goes to the left.

wanted more technicians on the park apparently, like a wee boy playing football manager and just playing strikers in every position cause he wants goals.

he's an idiot.

Indeed.

Need to win the rest of our games to the international break now to get the fans back onside.

Agree mate - it will let some of the younger fans taste that sour. Makes the sweeter even better when it comes. Just my take on it

Some decent teams in the EL which is our level (well above it) but more suited to that than the UCL.

A very costly result latest night.

All the obvious reasons but we'll also be trying to negotiate a new kit deal as a Europa League team at best. That's not a strong position and might be costly.

Lawwell is a dud. Have said it for years.
