So does that mean we will be playing with a back 3 from here onwards as kolasinac is the only option now?

Remember Tierney castor?

Tierney to replace Monreal has to go 33 years and very timid going forward offers nothing to the team so another Wenger man gone and counting.

Monreal has been a good, dedicated servant to the club. Shame on you.

Yeah I do. Won't play until October/November

What's your point?

You need to learn some respect for players who served the club well. Everybody's gotta get old sometime. Monreal worked hard for this club and doesn't deserved to be being talked about like some deadweight disaster.

That we will soon have 2 available LBs obviously

Think Monreal is our longest serving player in the current squad.

Kolasinac will be a starter and will be lots of games before Tierney comes back

You're a disgrace or an idiot...pick one. Monreal has always been a solid dependable player who ALWAYS gave 100% even on a bad day. His professionalism will be sorely missed and we should all wish him the very best should he leave. As fans, we should have nothing but gratitude for his years of service. A very underrated player!

I’d have preferred he stayed until January, Tierney should be match fit by then. But I suppose if there’s a decent deal to be done now, we have to take it as with his contract that deal won’t be as good by then

Kolasinac is a disaster of a defender. Sure, he's better going forward than Monreal but is an inferior defender in every way. Our already crap defense would be even more crap if you put Kolasinac in a back 4.

Monreal is the problem with Arsenal the sooner he vacates the better offers nothing other than sideways passing harsh but nailed on the head and don’t care of his attitude be it good or bad good riddance.

Should be kept until January, would be very stupid to sell now as we have no legitimate LB option without him

This is bad news.

My point is castor that you said your only option is Kolasinac. So you forgot about Tierney

So we are selling a player who has started all our games so far?

Says a lot about our club. If he's the best we have available in the position he should be retained until we have better available.

This. We will be short in this position again if we let him leave now. Tierney isnt fit.

I'm guessing Monreal wants the move. No point trying to force him to stay. Already had that debacle with Kos. Cold hard fact is the man served well and the club owes him the respect of letting him go home to Spain now and see out his career playing in the sun. Instead of sat creaking on the bench, through the English winter, behind the youngster we have every intention of putting ahead of him relatively soon. I'm not happy about it but that's life. It's called "Respecting the players who earned it." And it's the RIGHT thing to do. We just gotta suck it up.

So we go down to one RB (who is a converted midfielder) and one LB. Until we get players back from injury it means CB's will have to play at full back if we need a sub or replacement. And he is a starter atm. Thats why I said wait until January.
