Not every player is Drogba. Heskey was facking unstoppable circa 2000. Admittedly he became a bit of a donkey but I feel like people overlook the player he was because of what he became
He was a very effective player on his day, but extremely inconsistent. I think because of his size, his mistakes were exaggerated and maybe looked worse than they were. Certainly had a very good partnership with Owen.

Agree with that terminator. He was a handy player but became a bit of a parody in an England shirt
Fack off ace before I agree with you
Call centre has been quiet today. If you call tomorrow ace I will put you on hold, maybe for 20 years and spurs might have won something by then
Okay I'm a bit pisshed. Celebrating my engagement
Nothing like celebrating it than watching emile heskeys goals
Lukaku is the modern-day Heskey.
Heskey did all the work for his partners. This side goes unnoticed whilst his partners blast the goals in.

Cheers Ace. Despite all that's gone I appreciate that
I've read some of your posts and you're actually alright and some of them amuse me.
Anyway that's enough arris licking you cant
Heskey is a bulldozer even in his Villa days...
I saw him score a classy goal at Upton Park in, I think, a 2-1 win for City some time during the 1990’s. He certainly was no laughing stock then. Maybe he was playing for some other team if he became one 😉
...on second thoughts it may have been a 2-1 defeat 😀
look heskey was fine. he got ankle injuries that knocked him off his stride and people often forget where he was at prior to that.
he had huge pace and power but he really struggled for fitness and had recurring ankle issues.
in some ways Harry Kane is having same sort of issues now. that lads movement has dropped off a cliff!

not hard.
lucky are all the pies.
Kane won't get the same criticisms though
Heskey proved to be an important player for Liverpool under Houlliers reign.
He was fantastic in the cup winning season.
People also forget he was shifted onto the left wing for club and country in his latter years.
He was a very good player. He was big, but had good ability with the ball and was impressively quick.
The thing was he was never a natural goal scorer. He often looked uncomfortable and cumbersome in front of goal. That’s why many didn’t see him as a quality player.
For his size and presence you’d expect him to be the focal point of the attack. His inability to play that role was probably what stopped him becoming one of the greats.
His ability as a team player and support striker is where he should be assessed. In that role he was one of the best.

That's also where he started for Leicester.
I thought he started left wing the was used as a support striker? Don't remember him playing left wing for England
I thought he was superb playing for Leicester. I would not have liked to mark him that is for sure.
