Mason mount

Mount has been great, and is pivotal to the way we play and press as well as adding a creative spark however i'm still not sure on Franks line up most weeks and mount will be due a rest soon which would be good for him.

Barkley has not impressed me one bit though.
But pulisic, pedro(once back), willian, barkley, mount and even trying kovacic a bit further forward means players will be rotated. Rightly or wrongly.

Mount already is a starter is he not?

I like him. Technically good and shows fir the ball. Movement is decent too and he has to be ahead of Barkley now.

Not sure which 3 Frank will use when everyone is fit.

Im thinking Kova, RLC and Mount.

I loath blooding players for England under the age of 21 though. I dont think it works by and large.

Great to see more technical players come through and Mount plus Foden will help our misfield no end.

Mount, Foden, Madisson, Sancho, all great on the ball and can interchange.

What we must remember, with all of our players, is burn out.

We are still only in August ,so to my mind ,rotation is essential if we are not to be completely blown out come the end of winter.

Frank, I am sure will be aware of this ,and will juggle about a bit, even if some people do not understand.

It's a long season, especially for young guys just coming into the team.

Thats why although mount has been great, i'd rather rest him this weekend.

It's gunna be difficult to get RLC & Mount in the team together. Both wanna occupy the same spaces in the opposition half, it's a bit of a Gerrard-Lampard conundrum.

I'm guessing it'll be Mount, Kante & Kovacic (4231) or Mount, Kante & Jorginho (433).

Tbf mount has been playing with barkley who take up similar positions. And mount has still been thriving

Actually forgot about Kante!

I reckon RLC would do well b2b personally.

So Kante, RLC and Mount for me but great to have options.

I did read that Lamps is allegedly considering playing Loftus-Cheek up front when he returns from injury. No idea if there's any truth to it but I wouldn't mind seeing it tried out and it would allow both him and Mount to play in the same side.

it's almost as if he reads what I put on this forum superb

Or just play Mount on the left of the three like he did to very good effect against Norwich, with Loftus-Cheek occupying the 10 role that Barkley played on Saturday.

You want to see it tried out as well Nick

Yup, the age of wingers seems to have died.

Liverpools "wingers" are more like strikers that just cut in, like henry.

Teams rarely get it wide and smash crosses in, hazard use to drop deep and cut in etc.

A team of

Kante Jorg/kova
Pulisic RLC Mount

I'd like to see.

Surely CHO and Pulisic on the flanks with RLC and Mount sharing the load in the middle?

Not necessarily. That's one way of doing it of course but doesn't mean we have to stick rigidly to that. Mount showed against Norwich how good he is on the left of the three so you don't necessarily have to play a winger in that position.

Norwich tho

Puli has been pure winger so far?

Tbf salahs goal was great at the weekend but David Luiz still had a nightmare! Not much between arsenal and Norwich’s defence!
