Looks like we'd need to get up from 20th to 17th in the coefficient rankings to get a second CL place. Not as easy as it sounds, especially with the likes of Killie playing in Europe...

Delighted with that tonight. Morelos absolutely howling until the goal though.

Jones superb showing his worth again coming on to unlock the defence.

But Katic making Steven Gerrard look a bit daft for playing Worrall ahead of him last season.

Nah I think Katic had a real dip in confidence so SG let him take his time and get back in better shape mentally. Looks like it’s working for him and maybe Barisic as well

Europa League draw on Friday
The draw for the Europa League groups is tomorrow from noon. It looks like Celtic are in pot two, with Rangers in pot three, although that has not been officially confirmed yet.

There are some tasty teams in pot one, including Arsenal, Manchester United, Sevilla, Roma and Lazio.

Wolves will be in pot three by the looks of it

Another indicator of how SG has improved things rom last season.

Pretty certain we'll be pot 4

Legia would have been in pot 2 so there will be a shake up of sorts.

Don't see us being in any pot other than pot 4 mind.

I thought you'd mentioned it before. I like it though.

That was a mature performance tonight. Didn’t get sucked into their dirty tactics. I’ve seen a lot worse but they were still dirty cheatin time wastin khunts who had very little class.

Superb cross from Jones and I’m very glad Alfie got the goal. He lost his marker well for it.

Nervy stuff at times but we definitely deserved to win.

We are in pot 4. Still the 3rd lowest coefficient in the competition.

I want United, Krasnodar and Qarabag. A big game and two teams we should get the better of

Oh well pot 4 it is then.

Great result and well done Stevie G and the team for getting us there.

Interesting stat that out of 16 qualifying games over two seasons we’ve not been behind once.

It’ll be very tough in the group stages but great progress has been made.

On train home from the game, tired and throats killing, frustrating game to watch, couldn’t really see where a goal was coming from to be honest, Warsaw seemed to deal with everything we threw at them, some poor efforts in goal as well, delighted with the win and the avoidance of extra time.... all in all, very happy tonight and looking forward to at least one more euro tie before expulsion 😇😇
