This. The penalty was a bit unlucky. He'd done well to block the initial cross and he had to make some sort of follow up challenge. On another day he toes the ball out of play.

To be fair when VVD signed for us and made a couple of errors in his first few games, there were plenty of United fans frothing at the mouth with excitement, so I don't think you can complain about getting a bit back.
Wouldn't surprise me if eventually he turns out to be a great signing in a similar manner, however, United's defence hasn't exactly been convincing so far.

I think Big Blockhead will be OK. He needs a good defender with some pace next to him though. He turns like an oil tanker and has been lucky not to get sent off against us because of this.

Hes solid and can win games/points he has a few weaknesses but more strengths id say, overpaid for sure but what can ya do about that, definite improvement either way for utd, not that that was hard but yeah.
Couldnt give a sheite about the mistake last night for England id still pick him, Gomez should be his partner though lets be honest. When hes playing for England ill support him np but we are allowed to banter too 😂.

Yeah he was very lucky to not get sent off but then be went on to equalise and won everything vs us probably motm and won lesta a point.
It's no secret that we overpaid for him. I don't begrudge Leicester for overcharging us, every club in their position would have done the same.
He's here now and while he does have some flaws, he overall improves our defence and puts a presence of calmness there that we were lacking prior to his arrival.
Of course it doesn't help him when our midfield is lacking in quality. Once we can sort out other priority areas, then our team on the pitch can hopefully improve together.
