Yes...I've looked into it and apparently they did pay £80m for him.

Matip was better than Messi last year

And Boly was better than Maguire.

Evans was better than Evans last year. Doesn't make him a better player.

Evans was better than Magure*

Since Matip has signed for Liverpool he’s helped bring them to two champions league finals, and become the Super European Champions.

Maguire has helped manu go from #stillsixth to 8th place

English football is a nonsense so I don't really care what their teams do

From what I hear he's a slightly better than average defender who has gone for crazy money because that's what English teams pay these days. I can't say I care though as I don't wash their awful, sterilised celebrity version of football.
