It was fookin ubuquitous at one point

I just looked it up...apparently of all movies made in the 60's, 1 in 35 featured a character stuck in quicksand.

The other big one was...guy is stuck in some strange metallic cylinder. Always turned out to be a grain silo...next thing you see is a gloved hand on a big lever with a sign saying 'RELEASE GRAIN' next to it.
