I just like Lukaku man. I don't see what he's done to deserve such a negative attitude towards him from the United fans. To me it seems he's a victim of the United fans not liking his style of playing, the United fans associating him with Mourinho in some way and their support for Rashford leading to them putting Lukaku down as a way to put Rashford up. I just don't find it very fair and I don't think he deserves that kind of attitude.

Do you think that Lukaku works harder on the football pitch than Rashford?
Lukaku is a more accomplished goalscorer than Rashford, but he’s a very average footballer. Rashford can and has played on the left, right, at ten and up top because he can control a football, dribble with it at speed, beat players with skill and pass the ball accurately and consistently. Lukaku does not do these things.
And it matters to Mancunians that Rashford is a Mancunian. It’s an important part of our club’s fabric. I cannot expect you to understand that.

I agree with you in part.
He was underrated by many United fans who despite all evidence still seem to think that consistently scoring 20 goals a season in the PL is an easy undertaking.
The style of play issue was very significant. He’s not a traditional United striker and didn’t fit stylistically with the rest of the team.
And his work rate and fitness levels were, and I’m going to be kind here, questionable.
