We play against minnows in the cups (so far) so there’s no real pressure on him to play the ones he feels are more reliable/experienced

Perhaps Robb, the insistence on playing Pereira is another annoyance that I have with Ole, absolutely no where near the standard required.

Pereira did so well at Valencia - and he played a lot on the right of a 442. Just completely lost his confidence over the past year

He has been shunted about position wise which probably hasn't helped, but apart from the very rare wonder goal I haven't really seen anything that makes me believe he is of the standard we need. Would be very happy to be proven wrong though

I just don’t know how we are going to create chances against Newcastle’s bus with that team. It has one creative player in it, and he’s out of form and out of position.

I'm sure when SAF was in charge and Cole went through a barren spell the advice was just to 'put your foot through it'. Rashford doesn't seem to have the confidence at the moment to get a shot away when he's through. He just needs to calm down for the moment and concentrate on hitting the target.

If Martial was fit, I doubt Perriera would be starting, so it's a bit of a skewed argument to bash Ole with. It's like crying that Young has played a few games.

We’ll probably see something like that.

It’s more that he’s playing him on the right, where he’s even more ineffective. But even still he’d be better off just not playing him at all, playing Lingard or Greenwood wide and playing three in midfield and moving Pogba further forward.

The bottom line and I think we all agree on it here, is that Pogba can not be played in a midfield two. This has to stop.

Until the manager sorts this idiotic notion he has as Pogba as a deep laying play maker then we will remain in the limbo we are currently in.

True but it wouldn’t half as bad if we just had one single creative player in place of Lingard in the 10 role.
