Mandzukic could be a great influence on and off the pitch for a couple of years and adds a different option.

..............

If we continue with our current woes this is a no brainer hoody.

I can't remember Smallings's weakness leading to opposition goals.

----------

his weakness is that he's rubbish

.................

Bet you would take him at Elland Road

I just think it's a lot to ask of Martial and Rashford especially to lead the line and be the senior strikers. Having a guy come in who has seen it and done it, who is also a grafter, could be a great influence.

You get a lot of bollox written about learning of players, thats down to football manager games, but just sharing the burden and be a good pro would make a huge difference imo.

Our current manager, of all people, knows the benefit of having a full quota of strikers.

I can only conclude he was let down in the window by the common denominator in all our woes.

If it wasn't for the fact that he is our only creative spark there would be plenty of volunteers to drive him across the Pennines.

Apart from the 80 million for a CB and 50 million for a RB.

Lindelof's weaknesses are Smalling's strengths and vice versa.

........................

Lindelof's weakness has led to two goals being scored against us this season already.

I can't remember Smallings's weakness leading to opposition goals.

Well, Smalling's weaknesses are playing the ball on the deck, and technique when the ball is around his feet which leads to missed interceptions and tackles.

That weakness has caught him out occasionally.

We still should have kept him and taken the offer Everton made for Rojo, derisory or not.

weird one is Pogba.. you can see he has class - no doubt, from an outside point of view I just don't get why he isn't performing???

At the moment he isn't performing because, for some inexplicable reason, our manger is trying to turn him into a deep laying play maker.

He needs to be played further up the pitch where he can do damage to the opposition, not keep assisting them.

If we are potentially after Mandzukic as a short term option then we may as well just get Zlatan back.

No. Zlatan is 38 and hasn't played competitive football for two years.

From what I understand Mandzukic still hasvery good fitness stats and still covers loads of ground.

We tend to play him in a position where is lack of a tactical brain and effort are easily exposed..he’s certaibly no kroos or Modric and can’t run a game. He needs to play further forward where his best attributes/ are effective.
