And what about the conquistadors in South America. I guess they didn’t kill anyone either
So hypocritical to just call out Islam 6 hundred years ago. Ridiculous, our history is much darker
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And when you look at today (or last 50 years), what do you see?
Take a look at the alternative religion populations in islamic countries. They aren't growing are they?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You don't anything about the subject matter but you talk like an expert
People with little knowledge are the most dangerous ones, because most of their "understanding" of facts and history is from sources, other than themselves. They tend to be the easiest to brainwash too. They don't do any fact checking, because that's too boring. But they'll follow anyone who matches their "stereotype" of what a "Good Guy" is. Ignorance like someone said, is a bliss for those people.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What’s it got to do with us how many non- Muslims there are in their countries?!
I’m guessing you want controlled immigration here, how would you like a Muslim county getting involved in that?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nothing to do with us. 👍 Just giving another example of how Islam and cross cultural beliefs don't mix.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If that’s true then why do millions of Muslims live in non Muslims countries
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Christ we have some idiots on these boards.
See what you started Edward...
Anyone that tries to tell me that the Brexit result was about politics or economics and power and not repugnant racism and xenophobia should take one glance at this thread. This was a tragic incident caused by one lone nut job, nothing more. As soon as someone says 'terrorist incident' people assume it comes with islamic blessing or middle east state sponsored attacks. It's not. It's just a crazy guy that's clearly read a book wrong.
There was a guy on the loose in Tottenham a few months back knifing people randomly. What about this is different? You have to look at these situations and isolate them so as not to wrongly associate their behaviour with peace living muslims or immigrants in general.
To those despicably calling for capital punishment and an eye for an eye law state - I'd happily trade you guys in for a peace-living immigrant any day. Besides, with attitudes like that, you'd fit in perfectly within a Sharia law state. They stone people to death for breaking the law. Isn't that what you want?
Repugnant.

It doesn't alter the fact that Islam doesn't mix well with others. It just doesn't.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Islam has coexisted peacefully alongside other religions for centuries, and at its high point was a shining light of modernity, tolerance, science and progress.
The problem is not in Islam itself, but in the extreme interpretations some make of it. This has been -and even continues to be- the case with every major religion under the sun.
Even as I type, Islamophobia is being used by radical followers of the supposedly peaceful religion of Buddhism as an excuse to murder Muslims in Sri Lanka.
Ethnic cleansing against peaceful Muslim minorities is also being perpetrated in Buddhist Myanmar and secular China.
Meantime, the vast majority of Muslims in our home societies DO coexist peacefully with people of all faiths, as well as with agnostics and atheists.
To me it makes much more sense to join forces with them to try and do away with these unacceptable, radical and violent strains of followers than to antagonise them by broadsiding their faith with hatred and risk pushing others into the arms of the murderous terrorists.
It can and should be done, just as we continue to integrate Christians in our communities rather than spread hatred against all of them just because a few nutjobs across the pond blow up abortion clinics, murder doctors, attack other religious faiths and target government buildings in the name of heavens know what fracked up reasoning and claim to be responding to the designs of some invisible and purportedly almighty being.
Requesting measures against any one religion as a whole regardless of the millions of innocents that would be impacted equates to asking our governments to satisfy our basest impulses and to quench our thirst for revenge. I struggle to see how that would make us, as a society, any better than those we rush to condemn.
We need to be united in the face or terrorism. Precisely one of its main aims is to divide us; by turning on peace and law-abiding citizens we are just playing right into the terrorists' hands.
