Sad news indeed. Great memories. RIP Bald Eagle.
Fly over the rainbow bald-eagle.
Very sad to read of his death on SkySports. May he rest in peace - thank you for some of the best memories during my youth.
Hope there's a grand farewell for him on Saturday
RIP Jim Smith. Was a legend for you lot. ๐๐ผ

I understand that he was a big Wednesday fan so it seems very apt that we play Derby tomorrow night
Soar high the bald eagle, thank you so much for so many happy memories

He was a proper old school football man. We had a magical few years with the Bald Eagle in charge. In 1996, after the Palace game that saw us promoted, I managed to get to him on the pitch during the melee and say “thank you”.
One of my favourite Graham Richards commentaries was that Palace game.
"They're theerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeee."
RIP Jim n hope we can recreate some of the magic we had under you.
He had no hair,
We didn't care,
Jimmy,Jimmy Smith.
