Cant believe they arent going for Ancelotti or Allegri.
Is there any clubs who have had 3 inept managers in a row over such a long period whilst knowing that the managers arent very good before appointing them?
Yes Spurs had - Shreeves, Ossie, Francis, Gross.
Arsenal have just got rid of their Shreeves and are bringing in their Ossie. Long way to go.
If a manager doesn't have a job it doesn't mean he is available. Allegri wants year off, Poch also wants time off/isn't interested in Arsenal. You don't know what is happening in the background.
The Arsenal board have proper shaaaat the bed

If Real Madrid job becomes available tomorrow then both those 2 will change any other plans they had to make themselves available.
Arsenal don’t have the pull these days
As a total neutral, and paraphrasing some of the discussion from the last Sunday Supplement, Arsenal are in need a total reboot/restructuring of the club. No way would Ancelotti be the man for that ... that's not what he does, great record though he has. Would Allegri fancy the Arsenal job, and is his English up to it anyway?
Personally think that Arteta would be a brave, bold shout (I did say so on here weeks ago) ... and might be just the guy you need, if given a few years (which he'll need). He's apparently very highly thought of at City (being groomed as Pep's natural successor?).

Auba, Lacazette, Leno, a fully fit Bellerin and Holding.
They have the makings of a decent 5 a side team. The rest are amongst the worst players Arsenal have had for 3 decades. It’s a 4/5 year job of clearing the dross, recruiting quality and building an ethos.

It’s an interesting appointment. He’s apparently highly regarded within the game as a coach. How that translates to coaching/management as the main man remains to be seen. It’s certainly a huge risk, but I don’t think anyone is really in any position to call how successful or disastrous it will be.
Yeah but he knows where the stadium is and knows the access code to the training facilities.
That, apparently, is all that matters these days.
Arteta is just a budget Pep.

Probably United
We have only had one inept manager
Our squad is an awful lot better than people think. Particularly in players like Torreira, we have players who could become top class with the right coaching.

Is that supposed to be a bad thing?!!
I was actually pleased when Arsenal apointed Emery.
How wrong I was.
May as well give Arteta a chance.
He wants money to spend in the tranfer window.
I wonder if he can convince some City players to come with him.
Or realistically how long would it be before Arteta Out started
They need to get Allardyce and go back to the very beginning. Playing for each other, winning tackles and playing for the badge. They aint gonna just flick a switch and start playing Thierry ball again. Arsenal need to go backwards to go forwards imo

Wenger never once shouted at players, doubt the likes of Klopp do.
Shouting doesnt win you football matches. You just have to make the players believe in your methods

Sorry...Brellerin was poor BEFORE his injury. Maybe there is a good player still in there but I'd love to have a beast with a nasty streak like Lauren at RB.
I would say Auba, Laca, Leno, Torreira are the only top players we have. Holding looked good, but I think the jury is still out. Also...Auna and Laca is a conundrum isn't it? There was talk about how great their relationship is and at times they look great together, but recently, that has not happened. Partnerships are SO important...in CB, CM and up top. And if they cant do that, I'd sell one of them.

I USED to think that. I really did. But I dont know man/woman. Better players would organize themselves a bit. Play for pride. Look like they care. They guys are lacking. Our best players at the moment are Torreira, Leno and Martinelli. It's because they are the only ones playing for pride. Putting in 100%. If all others did that, we would not be where we are on the table regardless of who was in charge.
you have to be a really special club for a manager on a sabbatical to cut it short, sadly for you guys you aren't
