I’m not fully down with U.S politics but what does it actually mean?
Isn’t the impeachment nothing more than bringing forward a bunch of charges to remove him from office? When it’s taken to the Republican house of Senate won’t they just bat it away and Trump remain in office? He then can run again in 2020
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's very partizan and he needs 67 percent to find him guilty to be removed from office. So unless the trial is a slam dunk that nails him, it would be very surprising to see him removed.
That said....Id be surprised if he is the republicans top choice for 2020 after it.

Not sure I agree with this.
Trump feeds off of this kind of thing and I see him using this to strengthen his support with his core voters.

Stephen Colbert on Trump is hilarious.
This is good news for Trump. No chance it gets through the senate. He'll play it as a defeat of the 'liberal radicals' and it will probably strengthen his position.
The democrats are pretty similar to labour, they can't find a leader who the public will vote for. I'd be very surprised if Trump doesn't win the next election.

It will only cause Trump to be determined to go for another term. This impeachment won’t get Trump out if the office, because his side will support him but it will hurt Trump personally as he has become an exclusive member of that club. Only the third US president to be impeached. Ouch that will hurt. It will though make even more determined to go for another term.
Pelosi has only managed to more fire instead.

He'll love this...will see it as a badge of honour
They might as well hand him his second term. At least that will be the last of him.
Worse yet, he'll be our president when Bojo sells us out for a trade deal.

Yep. Basically the senate will vote it down regardless of what evidence there is because he plays for the same team.
57% of Americans think there is enough evidence to impeach him. Only 47% think he should be impeached (47% think he shouldn't). Those who think there is enough evidence but don't think he should be impeached think that it should be decided at the ballot box. So basically, they think the President should have another run at office despite breaking their constitution (which is always important when it comes to guns).
His approval ratings have recently increased during the trial (although still only at 46% which is lower than most previous Presidents). He can basically avoid scrutiny (sounds familar), refuse to turn up to any trial (as does everyone who says he isn't guilty) and just tweet about it with his McDonalds in bed which seems to be effective with his core support. So people will say it is an own goal, but a lot depends on who the Democrats pick as leader.
The event is basically a summary of everything that is wrong with politics at the moment and is almost a parody of what happened here.
If the Democrats no this wont be held up in the Senate, why go for it then?
Secondly, there is evidence Trump is guilty as fack, yet the jury (Senate) are his own people who will ignore all of that. How the fuvuuuuuuuuuuucccck is that even possible? Its like having a mass child rapist on trial and the jury and judge are his family.
