Obviously the bigger clubs that spend big and have higher wages are going to be able to attract the better players than the smaller clubs that spend big. But yes you need to actually spend well when you do spend (that includes on manager too). Man City and Liverpool have done that well. Man United not so much.

Look at the teams who won the leagues over the last 10 years and then look at who spent the most. It’s usually the same teams and they are the ones that spend the money.
Chelsea did it. Utd did it for years and then City did it on another level.
Liverpool spent big over a year ago and had to so they could keep up. Difference between Liverpool and city is that Pep has spent a fortune without having to sell. He also had a very good squad to start with so only had to buy quality not quantity.

Look at the teams who won the leagues over the last 10 years and then look at who spent the most. It’s usually the same teams and they are the ones that spend the money.
Chelsea did it. Utd did it for years and then City did it on another level.
