Wolves play their first match of the decade today. First match of the last decade saw us win an FA Cup tie 1-0 at Tranmere with the following team;
Hennessy
Foley, Stearman, Craddock, Ward
Mancienne, Henry, Milijas, Jarvis
Iwelumo, Ebanks Blake
Pretty sure it will be the 'first 11' to start today. Wouldn't be surprised to see Benny Ashley-Seal on the bench instead of Cutrone.
Happy new year one and all, especially wolfie, who's better nature I need to appeal to having posted my predictions one minute in to the early kick offs.
Another ridiculous VAR decision, but it's against the Villa so it's fine
Burnley look as hungover as me right now

How the hell did that happen?
Serious injuries to Heaton and Wesley, could be very harmful to Villa. Still plenty of time for them to chuck a couple of points away too.
Little surprised to see Neves on the bench.
I think the team selection shows some rotation as we have 4 games in 7 days. Neves and Jota out today, probably some other players turn on Saturday with a few of the team having been tested at Anfield.
What’s encouraging is that the likes of Bennett, Kilman, Neto and Vinagre have come in to the team and done well which has given Nuno the confidence that he can rotate. Not so long ago he wasn’t even making substitutions as every change was making us look a lot weaker
That was meant to say Rested not tested at Anfield, but maybe it was both
With regard to the January transfer window it has always been hinted that a new central defender would be top of the list. But now that Boly, Dendoncker, Saiss, Bennett and Kilman all looking good enough then talk is now that a central defender may not be needed. More likely is a striker to replace Cutrone in the squad and an attacking midfielder to give an alternative to Neves, Moutinho and Traore
I hope this talk of Cutrone moving on is premature. He's got great potential and will improve under Nuno.

He will certainly improve but we need help for Jimenez now, not next year or so
True, would like to think we could accommodate another central striker without shipping Cutrone out though.
Close there for Doc
Ooh Jimi, should have out that away
Our players are well camouflaged against the pitch today.
nope of course not. Outside the box anyway.
Anyone else awake today?
