I think De Gea is just going through a dip in his career, the amount of great service he’s provided for the club post Fergie should give him leeway to get back to how he used to be. I’d say we give him another season and if he’s still the same we offload him.

Might be better to talk about this at the end of the season. Let’s see what happens and if DDG fixes up or now.

Good question though, Hendo deserves a chance but don’t forget he’s 22 and loves the club. I think he’ll sigh a new deal.

He makes so many errors over the course of a season though. Most times ive seen him play he makes a howler. Good keeper but clanger prone

That's actually kind of the impression I've got, watching him play. Though he's young and I'd expect him to improve in that regard with more games and more experience. From what I've seen, it's too early to consider him for the number one spot at the minute. He's made considerably more errors than DDG this season and those would be magnified if he was playing week in, week out for Man United

I certainly think getting him tied down to a new contract should be a priority though. Lots of potential there

Where does DDG go, who can afford him?

Agreed. If we sell De Gea you’d hope we’d go for a top ‘keeper as a replacement, a lad who’s done well in his first season in the PL with a newly promoted club could go either way, the pressure to perform at SU is nowhere near that of United.

You look at his mistake against Liverpool, SU and Henderson won some plaudits for generally playing quite well.

Imagine he makes that mistake in-front of the Stretford End and Liverpool win 1-0 on “Super Sunday”, he’s getting hammered in the media, social media, by fans etc, “not good enough”, “how can you sell De Gea and not properly replace him!?” etc, it’s on a different scale and could destroy him.

I like the idea of a leader type ish in front of the defence. We can loan Henderson out another season and he could then be ready for the reign.

GK isnt a area we have to improve for nxt season
