Two wrongs dont make a right.

Because PSG got off on a technicality doesnt mean they should allow that type of outcome to prevail over all other cases.

Thats not what I mean, I didnt even imply that. I clearly meant the opposite, PSG should be hung as well.

UEFA is clearly corrupt in letting PSG off the hook.

Them and the FA have also turned a blindeert to Liverpool’s bribery of officials and var teams.

I think there is a clear difference between the 2 cases.

PSG was a straight case of state sponsorship, being a sponsorship deal worth £100m which the sponsors have blatantly overpaid for, because the benefit of the to the sponsor is minimal. How the value of that deal is assessed clearly differed between the parties and (rightly or wrongly) the PSG assessment was accepted.

In City's case they overstated how much their sponsorship deal was worth, never actually receiving the full value of the deal (which implies it is over valued in the first instance). SO its not a case of blatantly overpaying for a sponsorship deal (which they might be guilty of anyway), but actually whether they received all the income from it in the first place. Their books say they did and that they broke even, the accusation is they did - so this is more clearly financial fraud than the PSG case although both are extremely deceitful

Wasn't there something similar with FSG and New Balance?

they should look at all the fergy time and all the players that played under him banned for being drug cheats RIO, Staam etc and his dodgy son on Panorama for using his dads position to make money in transfers oh and the fact refs came out and even states fergy used to intimidate them or try to and the amount of former Utd board members on the FA running it too. should be stripped of all the titles they won under him, clear bribery and intimidation of the FA.

The PSG deal was valued at 5 million by one agency and 100 million by another agency. Uefa chose to pick the latter.

Uefa are corrupt, i thought this was common knowledge and recently got found out along with Fifa? Theyre run by foreigners who dont like the English who took control of the English game and steal a living from it, quite literally through corruption at times too.

tbh, thats a massive difference and actually £5m is almost nothing so you could say it's as unrealistic as the £100m. Perhaps they lacked faith in their own experts, not confident enough to challenge it .

These are plausible explanations but in the bigger picture, it is remarkable how a team of such low status can generate such massive deals comparable and bettering the biggest global clubs, which has projected them in to the top bracket, like City, out of nowhere really.

UEFA accepted City’s claim that the sponsorship wasn’t inflated. Their issue is where the money has come from. Supposedly it’s not all coming from Etihad. There’s also the issue of the shell company set up to pay £24m in image rights to subsidise player and management wages. This is clearly not the same as what PSG were investigated for.

I think the cases were similar, but lets leave it at that.

There is no way in the world that PSG was able to afford to spend 400 million euro and not have a loss less than 24 million over 3 seasons.

Totally agree.
Both City and PSG are dodgy as feck, and need launching from Europe's Premier Cup competition.

This should not be an argument for letting City off. This should be an argument for banning PSG for 2 years too.

City are trying to push a narrative that whips up a persecution complex amongst its fans, when the truth of this decision, who made it, and how they came to make it, is somewhat different to the noise coming out of the etihad.
