Unfortunately that’s what happens when you lack cognitive ability.

No, no. Its just nonsense what you said.

Pretty sure everyone else understands it perfectly

On balance, Ole is doing OK. No more, no more less.

If we qualify for the champs league then he should get a second season IF he doesn't then we should be looking at who is available to replace him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

So your decision on whether or not he should be given more time could be based on goal difference? Or a bad decision from a referee?

I think at this point he has done enough to suggest that he at the very least knows how to rebuild the squad. I really hope that he does got us into the CL next season, but if not, barring complete capitulation for the remainder of the season, I wold like to see him given time to continue the rebuild.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I keep hearing re build. He has signed 4 players and let 4 go, 2 of whom he hould have kept.

Fernandes has been linked for ages, as was Maguire. James is OK and anyone would have signed a RB.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What is the point you are trying to make? That buying and selling players isn't part of rebuilding a squad? That a rebuild can only be a rebuild if the manager only sells the players you think he should?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That Ole has undertaken no more of a rebuild than LVG or Jose did.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That is because he hasn't been here as long.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And he might not be.

Jose signed 4 in his first window, LVG signed 6
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Whats your point?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That Ole has undertaken no more of a rebuild so far than Jose and LVG did at this stage of their tenure.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Did anybody say that he had? All managers sign players. It is just with Ole's signings there seems to be more of a plan than the scatter gun approach we saw under LVG and Jose.

There is no more of a plan than Jose or LVG had beyond signing the best players we could in the areas we needed.

I have no idea why you cut and pasted my original comment. I haven't contradicted what I said. And I can't help you if you can't see the difference in our signings

Why is it that every thread has to grind to slow death with either Stretty, UWW or RDD arguing some boring, stupid point?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm arguing that despite Ole getting great credit for a rebuild, he hasnt undertaken anymore of a rebuild than LVG or Jose did after 2 windows.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nobody said he had. Who are you arguing with?

It is the quality of the rebuild that matters. Not the number of players signed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes. And Ole has brought in 3 good players and 1 top player.

Jose brought in 2 top players and 1 good one. (Pogba, Ibra, Bailly)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Only one of those signings worked out

I am not sure why you have dragged Jose into this anyway.

Because its RDD, life is nicer when he's filtered. His arguments are OK to begin with, but if you disagree it descends to the level above.

I support Ole, but never with certainty.

......

He has won more things than Poch.

Yeah but it’s all relative isn’t it VC.

Managing Molde in the Norwegian league you have a better shot than managing espanyol or Southampton. He probably should have won something with spurs but he also turned them into a perennial Champions league club which wasn’t looking on the cards when he took over.

And you can also flip it and say well Poch has never been relegated.

Molde that had never won the title in their 100 year history? That Molde?

posted on 28/2/20

Does it matter? The club had competed for trophies before Ole went there, not exactly comparable to Espanyol and Southampton. I find this argument so dumb. Pochettino has proven himself capable of managing in the best leagues, Ole hasn’t. So their respective trophy hauls mean fack all in the grand scheme of things.

posted on 28/2/20

I didn’t say that it was like turning up to Barca or Bayern Elvis, but you can’t seriously think it’s comparable to taking over Espanyol or Southampton in their respective leagues.

I said he should have won something with Spurs, but espanyol and saints is completely different.

And like i said, if you want to play the comparison game you can always throw the fact Ole got relegated in there.

And 2nd the year befor that. Kind of like how Chelsea just had a really bad year and finished 10th, then bounced back to win the league the next year.

It’s not even a knock on Ole. He’s doing okay given injuries and the transitional period. Bruno has made a huge difference too and with a couple more signings who knows, but to use Oles titles with Molde as a stick to beat Poch with but ignore the fact Ole got relegated or the comparative difficulties with most of Poch teams is burying your head in the sand just because he’s the united manager.

It’s more because he’s an ex United player. Even under Moyes the mental gymnastics was not nearly as bad as some of the stuff I see now.

It’s pure delusion and will be damaging for the club long term. Even abonglahor is saying greelish is too good for united and should join a champions league side. That’s how far we have fallen
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Gabby said he should go to Juventus or Barcelona... Hardly realistic

posted on 29/2/20

He’d probably get in both teams, in fairness. Not that I think either would go for him, but they aren’t exactly blessed with the quality out wide in and in midfield that they once had.
