I think Wassa means international-style football Scouse, I.e. playing it out from the back.

Or, playing better football, and with much better players. Although playing it out from the back may help.

We don’t have to money to buy players who meet the requirements needed but we do have a championship winning academy that is developing players who can.
Like if or not this is where are looking to now.
Mel has said it from day one. All of his managers previously have paid lip service to it and blown all his dough on mostly dross.
The academy is maturing now and producing some real talent.
Cocu has been brought in to develop that and he’s doing exactly as Mel wants in bringing in the kids.
It’s long term and we have to be patient but for me, without a shadow of doubt, it’s really great to watch our own take up the mantel.
The future is bright the future is orange. Bring on the Cocu revolution.

I am all for bringing the youth through but don’t for one minute think that Mel isn’t seeing the £ signs if 1 or 2 of them shine.

Cocu seems to be the kind of manager willing to embrace youth. The likes of Mourinho continue to get the top jobs despite stifling youth development. Look at Spurs, they have an 18 year old in Parrot tearing up the youth team who apparently isn’t ready yet. But until you try them, how do you really know? I’d argue that Whittaker has proven he isn’t quite ready yet but Sibley has done nothing but impress when I’ve seen him, but I suppose it’s purely down to opinion.

Yet again Cocu does not stick to a winning side, you cannot try and play International football with these players at his disposal, most of us know these players are not good enough.........

International football FFS, when did the FA Cup become international football?

You talk more shiite than Spart on steroids.

Are you sure you went the right game Wassa, as you seem to spend more time on the Forest board?

Scouse tell me what you lot actually want to talk about, about our football club? I’ll start it off.....Cocu is deluded, Mel Morris gone missing like Lord Lucan, no football forums with players management his staff or Mel and his so-called CEO Stephen Pearson, have I missed owt?

We (me mainly) spot bollix on here generally. But you moan about Cocuball (international football), but would still moan if we lumped it up the park.

Cocu is a breath if fresh air compared to the English manager merry-go-round and is bringing some of the very handy academy lads on. It doesn't always work, but there is definite progress.

I also can't imagine we'd have Rooney spraying 40yd passes about the park if Mel had employed Fat Sam?

So if Cocu is a breath of fresh air why on earth did he change a winning side from the Sheffield Wednesday game? When you know and I we’ve got no chance of getting into the top 6, come the end of the season...........? I’ll not talk about our abysmal away record this season

Go on then Wassa, name a manager for us who:

1. You want
2. Would come
3. We can afford
4. Would be better than Cocu

Wassa, Apart from momentum, I don't see what beating MU would have done for our league chances. In fact it may well have harmed them by adding to the fixtures list. Whereas, playing those youngsters, and the performances they put in, will enhance our league position. They will all have benefitted enormously in confidence and experience and Derby County will be a better team because of this. Philip Cocu is doing a great job. In my opinion. You are entitled to yours too. Is is Mel Morris's that is more important - he has more at stake. I'm happy Cocu and Morris are on the same page. The future looks great to me. The under 19's and the under 23's are both doing really well. Try to show a little patience.

Did you see where an ex Derby manger, helped by a Derby county player on loan - stuffed the Red Dogs 0-3 at the schitty Ground yesterday?

Apparently Mason tore the Forest defence to pieces with his pace. Maybe he is better than we thought.

I always thought he was good at football, just a little slow to grow up. Now he maybe grown up enough to return?

He played well last night. Whittaker and Mitchell-Lawson will be in the mix for squad places next season and Cocu wanted to sign a wide right-sided player in January. That doesn’t leave much room for Bennett except maybe as a fourth-choice striker.
