The response by governments across the world has been disgraceful.

They don’t want to prematurely close everything down. What don’t you get?
It really hasn’t been disgraceful. It’s been sensible and pragmatic and highly considerate of the most vulnerable.

Prematurely 😂
It’s already here
I find it interesting how so many are quick to give a massive crap about something that carries a personal threat but something like climate change yields a completely indifferent response.
The reality is that pretty much everyone is going to come into contact with this virus. Especially those in large cities. So as mentioned above, why shut down prematurely?
I don’t think some of you understand that there is basically nothing that we can do at this stage. The elderly need to self isolate as much as possible but this virus can live on surfaces for days and can be passed when you are within 6 feet of someone, masks don’t do anything, people have to breath and you can have the virus with no symptoms for like a week.
Do the math
1. has it not been established that most people are infectious before showing symptoms?
No. It’s unlikely you’ll pass it on before showing symptoms. Stop reading the Star.

That’s called the pressure of time. It’s natural to react to something in your face and immediate versus something that we need to deal with now but the ultimate consequences are in the future

Of course most people will get it - but the point of isolating people is to flatten the curve and stagger out the infections as to help the NHS. If we don’t ban public gatherings etc then this is going to peak to the point that the NHS collapses

You don't know that. Most countries seem to have different outcomes.

Most of the experts agree on that - they are even saying the pattern is following in the exact way

Public gatherings such as sporting events etc sure and I personally won’t be using public transport but that doesn’t effect my life too much so I can. But telling people to not come to work is premature and will do more harm than good

I’m pretty sure that tests revealed last week that it can last longer than that. Even if 12-16 hours is correct that’s still a long time and the spread is inevitable which was my macro point.
