From the 2013 squad... I think Evans has proved we binned him to soon... I've always had an NI bias in relation to him tho
Smalling should still be here
Rafael was better than anyone up until AWB... If we could have kept him fit
Rio and Vidic... Definitely at the end... But weren't our biggest problem... We should have brought in a top cb and moved one on
Evra was ok, Shaw was signed the following summer and was a deal Moyes was working on anyway
Midfield was our biggest issue.... Like it fookin has been for a decade.

Agree - LVG could see the issues with the squad and replaced a huge amount of it
My only issues were him getting rid of Evans, Welbeck and Hernandez though with the signings he made at the time - Blind, Falcao and ADM it didn’t seem an issue
Hence why within a year...

Sigh, it’s actually like herding cats with you.
Everyone on here with a brain can see the point is that Moyes was taken on post SAF to do a complete overhaul of an ageing and average (in so many areas) squad. He was sacked after a few months and LVG continued the work
And which is why within a year (or for the pedantic among us) 15 months, the defence and midfield that won the league was pretty much decimated and out the door.
