Good point. I'll swap out Johnson for Delph.
Was Delph or Cook I suppose and loved Cook

i always felt rudy could have been more instrumental on a better team.
Would Austin get in our current squad?
All well and good saying he would have been instrumental in a better team, but I don't think he would get near our current first 11. Who does he replace, better and more influential than KP at DM. Better than Klich or Pablo? He could play CB but again who would he replace?
Schmeichel
Ayling
Jansson
Cooper
Parker?
Cook
Phillips
Howson
Snodgrass
Wood
Gradel
Green
Kisnorbo
Byram
Delph
Hernandez
Dallas
Beckford
Honourable mentions for Andy Hughes, Neil Kilkenny, Bradley Johnson, Kyle Bartley, Luciano Becchio, Tresor Kandol (for a season), Mateuz Klich and Gaetano Berardi.
I always rated the likes of Rob Hulse and Shaun Derry.

backup to klich maybe. the one we have is broken.
Austin wouldn't be able to play Bielsaball
Austin would get no where near this side. Likeable player and therefore overrated.

Derry is a great shout. As if Hulse.
Dougie Freedman would be on the bench if we had him for the qualifying period of a full season
Alfonso Pedrazza and Alan Sheehan?
Some of the joke players people suggest are really weird to me. I didn't think Sheehan, Crowe or Robinson were that bad for us.
Robinson wasn’t that bad your right but he came to us as championship player of the season and we never saw that.
A lot worse fullbacks than Crowe and Sheehan too
Capaldi and bessone spring instantly to mind
