Kante is better. He can also make things happen in final 3rd too.

kante is a better all rounder for sure. But makelele was a rolls royce player, better short passer and near enough the best retainer of a football i've ever seen, bar maybe iniesta and xavi. Horses for courses

most certainly, azpi was a solid 8 or 9/10 for us for about 3 years in a poorer side

You're right, I have no way of deciding who is better between Pele in his prime and Michy Batshuayi since I never watched Pele.
Essien would be the first player on my team sheet. At his best he absolutely dominated the midfield.
