It’s political correctness gone mad
Why are Italy doing better now? Is this just based on numbers? If so then we don't know they are doing better, if you don't test for a day then numbers would stay the same as the previous day and so on if we test less people than the day before. People are reading far far to much into these numbers which are only as good as the number of tests given each day and NOT the number of actual cases.

China will not tell the truth. 1.5 billion population and only 3500 dead? This started before Christmas for them and they have cooked the figures without a doubt.
As for China, it doesn't make sense, they have it under control apparently but yet cases are being added every day, where are those cases coming from? If their complete lockdown worked then they shouldn't be adding a single case.

Mostly they are from people who've fled other countries and came back to China over the last few weeks.
Many of the cases are imported and not coming from Hubei.

I hope that is the case and what is coming out of China is indeed fact but it is hard to trust them regarding anything

I'd honestly feel far safer in China right now than America

Ha yeah, might be something in that. To be fair though the US isn't acting as badly as is made out, if you ignore Trumps words the actions have been far stronger. The downside is that it isn't across all states and that some states are still reacting rather than preempting.

Still hard to figure out the death rates.
China was around 4%
Italy up at a scary 11%
Spain 8%
USA less than 2%
Germany less than 1%
France 6%
UK close to 7%

I just find it amazing that any President could go on national TV and state, if we lose 100,000 - 200,000 lives then we've done a good job.
They had an enormous amount of time to prepare for the inevitable.
Then again, they aren't the brightest of bunch.

My missus is Chinese-born Singaporean. Her mum is still a Chinese national. The gf's godmother is pretty high up in the government. And despite that, there's no love for communism by my missus. She can be hyper critical when warranted.
At the moment, she's not got any info or suspicion to suggest anything other than what's going on.

Hopefully that is the case. Spent a month in China several years ago, fascinating place and definitely opening up more and more these days.

China have definitely lied about their death total, that goes without saying.
Only 3300+ deaths considering other countries with much smaller populations.
