Perhaps he’ll go to City to replace Aguero.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think City may explore this avenue as an option.
We don’t know how precarious Juve will be with their money next year. And there’s a good chance Ronaldo won’t be there so they’ll need a goalscorer.

Considering that they along with many other clubs have had to restructure their finances lately, and with the uncertainties of football they will have to alter their strategies. At least for the near future.
I don't think he is one of the best strikers in the world, not that I know them all.
But I don't think he is as good as RVN and RVP were. Or Aguerro. He is very good but short of great imo. Better than anyone we have of course.
If he wasn't a fan of the injury table, then i'd then be up for signing him.
I just feel with our luck, we'd be ended up wasting a fortune on him.
But the market will change and Juve will still be one of the strongest clubs financially. I could see Kane going there as I don’t think the others will go for him, and unless he wants to stay at Spurs and be Shearer they’ll be the best bet for winning trophies.
Yes the market will change, but we don't know when yet. And as mentioned in another earlier article, we - Manchester United are fortunate that our money loving Executive Vice Chairman Ed has positioned our beloved club into a more healthy financially sustainable club. The same isn't said for other big clubs such as Juve.
Kane may consider Juve, but Juve's plans may have changed.
Also considering that their biggest key asset player could possibly become a player of disposable use, then i think it's safe to say that Juve are trying to financially protect themselves.
They are owned by Exor, their books may not be as healthy as ours but they’re owned by a company that is able to maximise their financial potential. I think the issue with Ronaldo is the wages he takes up, getting rid of him frees it up to be spread across the team. And given they are looking to bring in Pogba this summer I don’t think they’re looking to protect themselves in a way you’re suggesting.
I honestly think that they won't be spending too big this summer/next near window. As a business, they maybe owned by whoever, but their owner will also wish to ensure that they are bringing in enough money. And in a country that has been hit the hardest by the pandemic in Europe, they will no doubt feel the effects more.
The current wage deferrals that they agreed with their players enabled them to save around 90 million Euros? And reports suggesting that this still isn't enough suggests they need to look at their finances more.
Of course they’ll wish to make sure they’ll be bringing in enough money. One of the main ways they’ve tried to do that is by focusing on increasing brand value, it’s why they signed Ronaldo and why they want Pogba as they’re anticipating the loss of losing him. Juve fly very close to ffp boundaries because they’re no longer the frugal club they were when they first moved into their new stadium. They keep spending big on players and wages because their ownership want it that way. An ownership that owns Fiat Chrysler and Ferrari among others.
Kane has said he will stay at Spurs if we continue in the right direction, so it is up to Levy to give Mourinho the squad he needs.
Mourinho has had time to assess the squad now and will know what is required. Spurs are not that far away, we just some upgrades in 3 or 4 key positions, strength in depth in others and some better luck with injuries.
Unfortunately, our owners will not deliver, so Kane will probably give us one more year before moving to Spain for guaranteed trophies.
Spurs may not have a choice but to sell, stadium to pay for, no CL, big wages and he would demand a decent fee.
Sounds like him and Jose must not get on that weak.

Bringing in enough money is the key. Their owners are reliant on income from not only Juve, but their other business interests as well. I'm not saying that they will keep frugal for long term, but maybe just for the time being. They may well have enough cash reserves to survive, but it may also mean that for financial safety, this is the option that they've chosen for now.
Just because they want Pogba doesn't mean that they can afford him without financial difficulties. Having both Pogba and Ronaldo will increase exposure. But exposure will only go so far, as the league they operate in isn't as lucrative as the PL or even La Liga. Juve are a big fish in a nowadays moderate lake.
In regards to Pogba, I'm sure they have already tested the waters, but may have been put off by the current price tag prior to the pandemic.
Add in the current situation, and i think they have reassessed the footballing strategy for now.
They are but their income of their total assets is around £4bn a year. An ownership with those kind of assets can take the financial hit in a way most others can’t.
They’re still pursuing Pogba, by all accounts, so I don’t think they’ve been put off. That doesn’t mean they’ll get him, and that would be the case regardless of the issues that covid-19 has created.
And what you keep ignoring is that it’ll cause issues for the whole of football. Which will address the hyperinflation of transfer fees. Certain clubs will be able to cope better than others, Juve are one of those clubs. Just because they aren’t United rich doesn’t mean they will completely change their business model and stop spending big - especially as they’re a club that has always been big on player trading as they hoard talent.
Lower league football clubs would likely be worse off if big transfers weren’t made this summer as believe it or not, that money does end up trickling down.
++
as a person who has ownesd/run a lower league club in the English FA Pyramid I can assure you it doesn't.
What really don't you understand?

Not every single club in the pyramid gets everything that trickles down. It’s not a set payment is it?
Did your club ever sell a player to a club higher up in the league?
No they mainly stole them from us.
Only Sunderland had the decency to to give us a preseason "friendly' (youth team mainly) for a player we had that we all know of now.
This was when when my manager was a very famous ex England international.
Finance is about connections not trickle downs at the basement (non-league) end of pyramid football.
sorry, and Birmingham City

That’s just your experience - there are many non league clubs who rely on selling their players to a team higher than them who equally rely on the same thing
For example we bought Maguire off Leicester, they bought Perez off Newcastle, in turn Newcastle bought a player off Luton. I’m sure they bought a player from beneath them. It’s all part of the same ecosystem and it’s incorrect to say that transfer fees don’t trickle down. They really do.

A regular non-league pyramid club. I will leave it there if you don't mind.
We won the County FA Senior Cup twice and 2 x promotions (one thwarted by FA rules for a lack of ground facility safety regulations and requirements for the move up the pyramid) and the League Cup in my 3 seasons there as Chairman of the Board. Ironically it was our main sponsor, who I secured to pay the wage bill who finally ousted us at the last AGM,
Learnt a lot I didn't know about in football then. And also how town Council politics 'works'. (if I ever hear 'it would be helpful if you were a 'freemason" again...)
