Finish the entire season (cups included) in the same manner and rules the season has been played so far, or don't bother at all.
Great idea in principle but let’s wait until it’s safe
Terrible idea and no way do clubs agree to it
A few questions:
Where are the extra 200 players coming from?
How does basing a thousand people in a small area ensure isolation?
How does this work with the other leagues?
What happens when one player is diagnosed with it after playing 3 or 4 games in a week? Surely that would kill 4 teams dead?
Another question:
Doesn't VAR require a bunch of people in close proximity in a room watching monitors?
OP
A festival of football would be a total farce. Complete non starter for me.
Either finish the season properly or null and avoid it. Only two choices.

Move the monitors two metres apart.
VAR sounds like a virus anyway.

It would be a true festival of this happened but one thing you can't do is shorten the games. That's ridiculous.
Maybe just let the teams that can still mathematically win the league, qualify for europe, and get relegated compete in play off matches. The rest of the teams have nothing to play for.

That's nearly the whole league anyway, no? How many teams would be left out?

😄 It's been so long, I can't even remember.
In fact, it’s every team in the league. There isn’t a club that doesn’t have anything to play for mathematically.

The obvious place for the additional players to come from would be the U23 and U18 sides.
I would assume that everyone would be tested before they were admitted to the camp.
The PL has never been concerned what the rest of English football has been or is doing.
And your last point will surely be an issue for all close quarters competitive sport for potentially way more than a year.

--------
Already allowed to use unlimited players from those groups.
They need to test NHS staff before footballers, not sure if it best use of resource.
They have to be in terms of the 3 clubs promoted.

From the U18s they could, of course. Good point. From the U23s it would depend on the age of the player.
Dont think many clubs have players that have to be registered who arent. Most clubs named less than 25 players in their squads on Feb 1st anyway.
Even if teams brought loanees back I doubt most will have more than 25-28 players (Chelsea excluded)
