I know What 3 Words very well. Terrific app especially for safety whether its lost on a hill walk, car crash in middle of nowhere or whatever
Great concept that was delivered well.

Anyway I am claiming a first.
I've had both * and Ginger on this post and they didn't fight, argue or be nasty to each other.
Play nice boys.
Did it go predictably downhill?

Nah. You were far too well behaved, although SPR did have wiggle at it.
Free at the moment. Decent puzzle game

There's a free app called ca-mera on iPad/iPhone which is ace for taking retro pixelated photos.
I've also got the Model D synth app from Moog. I think it was about £15 but it's great fun and you can waste hours playing around with it.
Anyone with young kids who are in to Lego. Should download stop motion studio on their phone. You can do great stop motion videos easily. And kill a few hours.

Just switched off from them mate. I don’t mind the banter and the jibes. I don’t mind posts that go over the top. I can’t take offence at anything religious because I’m the wrong branch of Christianity and who gives a fwck anyway.
What I just can’t be bothered with is the repetitive and boring nonsense and hanging onto your every post desperate for me to have an opinion that turns out to be wrong. Happily hold my hands up. But when it goes on day after day it’s quite disconcerting and alarming.
The reality is that I can have a disagreement with anyone on here as I’m sure many will testify but as far as I’m concerned at the end of that thread that’s it. We’re not all the same and never will be.
I’ll have more of a banter with people I’ve met which is understandable.
The reality is I’ve probably had a go at timmy more than anyone on this site.
I’m glad the attention is placed elsewhere now though mind.

The fellah is boring asf, each and every post he gets on starts to get nippy real quick, obvs a previous poster, why he does it if it pashes him off that much I've no idea?

What scares me about any app 'sold' to us to lift the lockdown.
False alarms.
Gov recoup money by selling the data.
Plod taking a look.
Etc.
Japan only 200 deaths but seem to be more fckd than we are?

I can’t complain. We have a house and a garden. We’re relatively lucky. Most of my students will be stuck in high-rises right now.
How about you? Must be hard without the great outdoors do you mate.
I'm OK Pointy got a stubborn half glass full gene fae my Da.
Rips the tatts aff my missus when I'm calm in a stolen credit card crisis.
I know it should be other way round.
Was in the garden for 3 weeks been further afield the past 2.
I can guess at the profiles of the young folk you work with.
I can tell you support them well depite your self deprecations.
I'm still in contact with some of the weans from the Calais Jungle.
They came in '16 most are just finishing their college courses.
If I was in high rise I'd be not in a good place right now.
Night TMQ. Cheers for the tip.

Aw fwck thanks Pointy!
TMQ - I hear what you're saying about what3words but even if the personal data haversting thing were true I honestly couldn't give a couldn't give a rats erse for two reasons: the moment you have a mobile phone and start using it you can get tracked, and, if some sad sack is so boring as to follow me around, they'll soon tire of it believe me. I recognise that every app that utilises GPS and personal phone numbers can be abused, but we all need to balance risk and benefits and I reckon on that basis that what3words is worth it.
I also use Altimeter Ler another free and very decent app with loads on info live on-screen and it costs less than £3.00 to get it advert free for life.
Been up the local hills over the past couple of weeks, nothing huge, but it's been really good weather for hill walking.
Tully if you are going up the hills, or anywhere with limited signal. If you wrap a table placemat in tinfoil, you can pop it in you bag. By positioning it 13cm behind your phone, you can almost double the signal as the phones have 360 degree antennas which is convenient, but not ideal for longer distance reception. You'll need to manually rotate yourself with reflector antenna till you pick up signal. But it works pretty well
