How would I know? Surely you should be asking Winston as he's the one making the statement, no?

Ive quoted you above.

You’re done.

I've only seen him have a bad game around 2 maybe 4 max times.

.......

Which coincidentally is the total amount of times you have probably seen him.

I've seen most of his apps.

Thor, Why did you quote me as being the one who made the comment about Hargreaves starting 20 times?

“IMO having Keita on this list is like having Hargreaves on a similar list all those years ago”

And here it is, Thor’s original comment.

Keita is on the list because of his time at Liverpool.

His time at Liverpool has been nothing like Hargreaves at any point in his career.

This is too easy.

Though of course you’ll try to argue it. You just cannot admit you messed up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No answer to this.

think flop is not the word for any of the op's list. a very misused word in sports, a lot like choked. to some people if you don't win you choked.
keita for example is called a flop for being injured?
he's been motm a few games and looks a talented player. i would love to take a chance on him if leeds go up.

see thats the nonsense perpetuated by pool fans

he has missed 23 games

Liverpool played 53 games last season and 48 this season

101 games...he has appeared 34 times, often off the bench

101- 34- 23 = 44 games he didn't appear in, not because he was injured just because herr Klopp didn't fancy him

thats a flop, no arguments

klopp has a set of midfielders that he's very comfortable playing to accommodate his front three and attacking fullbacks. hard to argue against a formation that's lost two PL games in two years.
and klopp likes keita too. no argument not a flop more a luxury player.

hes not been injured for lengthy spells, issue is hes a confidence player, shy personality probably doesnt help with this, and the stop start niggles when its always taken him 5/6 games to get up to speed and a bit of confidence its been annoying.

Im still of the opinion ive never seen him have a bad game for us, hes never been below a 5/10 as far as i can remember and has a few top class motm performances with us too. But yeah for the talent he has and what a lot expected hes not hit the ground running. And if he cant stay consistently fit surely we have to get rid. No point having a player even as talented as young still as Keita is if hes already looking like the new Sturridge.

Also he cost 52.5m in the end since RBL finished in the CL places before he joined.

posted on 18/5/20

Also last season was Keitas first with us, Klopp took ages to trust Robertson for example too and he had pl exp. Even without the annoying injuries it was going to be bit part season for him. He managed 1700 minutes which is 19 full games worth in the PL and CL combined followed by 620 this which is just under 7 games worth of football.

spend 50+ million on someone, barely play him

if he's not injured he isn't chosen

make as many excuses as you want, he is a flop, simple as.

You do know that when you pick up so many injuries there is time when you're eased in, hence sub appearances. When you think he is ready you start him, the problem has been he then gets a run of games and then gets injured, starting the cycle all over again.

You don't have a clue what you're talking about.

it's so easy to just look at stats and make a judgement. doesn't always work like that.
like hafi saying man utd were the most dominate team in the league this year.

posted on 18/5/20

no its not about using stats

Liverpool paid 50m+ thats a hard figure

Keita has returned nothing for that investment

make as many qualitative reasons as you feel like, but in simple mathematics, huge sum spent zero return. that is the essence of a flop.

no I think you just cant stand a bad word said about any of your players.

think about what you just said, on his returns from injury he is eased in with sub appearances...fine...but what about the 40 odd times he wasn't inured and didn't play?

if Liverpool were relegation battlers fine, but a dominant team who could send anyone on for a few mins still choose to not send him on for game time...what does that say about him?

40% of the games that have been played since he joined, he hasn't been injured and hasn't been involved, thats more than an anomaly, that just smacks of manager thinking he's a liability

Nothing. Its more about whatbit days about the rest of the team. He's been here for two years where we've finished 2nd, won the Champions league and won the league (hopefully) with Hendo, Wij, Milner and Fabinho in midfield. We have no need to rush players. Keita is handled with kid gloves and still gets injured again and again. Its that simple.

This is incorrect and you should stop making up crap to make a rival player look bad. Is it 40 games or 40% of games. Make your mind up about which false and arbitrary figure you're relying on

I already provided a break down of Keitas apps on this thread.

I would only compare Keita with Shaw at United, with the major difference being that Keita is great when he plays and Shaw really isn't .

"40% of the games that have been played since he joined, he hasn't been injured and hasn't been involved"
---------
The way I see it, both of these cannot be true. None of these are true statements IMO, but even on a purely logical basis, both cannot be true surely.

And I've posted stats a few pages back and provided sources which show that Keita has been injured often and regularly, coming on or being subbed off nearly 90% of the time he is available, because he is always transitioning from one injury or another.

He's played 90 minutes 6 times in two seasons and all his full games have come in periods where he has stayed fit for a few weeks and he has produced for Liverpool to expected standards for a player in his circumstances.

Hargreaves issue was done as I was not just referring to his time at United alone. I've replied to what I feel is worthy of reply Winston, that's how forums work, and for your information, I will continue to do that in future, so next time just read this post to get an answer.

It's not done - it doesn't matter when you were referring to.

At no point in his career does Hargreaves compare to Keita at Liverpool.

As pointed out, it was a flawed comparison but you can't admit it. You even mentioned Keita's career before Liverpool, as if that has anything to do with this article.
