Genuine question.. how can you afford even £4m?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The same way we’ve survived losses all the way back up to the top league?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd really rather avoid the stumbling from one disaster to another road.

"Rangers best chance is for us to sell Edouard and Ntcham and replace them with projects."

And we get rid of Gerrard and bring in a manager with experience of winning leagues elsewhere.

Which won't happen.

Rangers best chance is for us to sell Edouard and Ntcham and replace them with projects.

Turnbull might be Ntcham’s replacement, should he still sign.

As for Edouard, fluck knows what we do there. Klimala is a Lidl version of Pavrel Brozek, Bayo is a junior player and Griffiths can’t be solely relied on for the full season.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Agree with that being our best chance. That and you not getting Forster back.

Might be same with Davis, but also not sure how older guys like Brown will manage the lack of football for a prolonged period.

Well, aye, that as well

Gerrard must be absolutely delighted the way the last 2 and a half months has developed. It’s took the heat right off him, few days after a defeat at home to Hamilton and a pumping from Leverkusen.

Would expect Brown to be fine for one more season. The break will have done Forrest and McGregor the world of good.

I’m concerned we’ll lose our 4 best talents in the one go this summer though.

Forster
Ely
Eddy
Ntcham

I’d settle for keeping 3 of them, losing any more than 1 could be disastrous.

I know he's popular amongst a lot of the celtic support, but Ntcham is the one you'd miss least in my opinion. Christie is good enough.

Haha. He's clearly talented but I think the gap between him and next man up in comparison to others is smallest.

I think there will be players on the way out that will bring in cash.

I think its pretty inevitable fatty Morelos will leave.

Personally I cannot wait. If he cant be relied on to come back in time for bread and butter cup games like the Hearts quarter final then it matters not a jot that he can score against Feyenoord and Porto in the EL.

I would happily of got rid of him at the end of last season.

If we can get £4m or above for Kamara then we should grab it. And there is solid interest in him.

Unfortunately Barisic is also more likely to go than Tavs.

Plus there is

I think Celtic need to be careful with what they do this summer, I remember when Rangers went for the 10 Walter Smith had already said he was going at the end of the season no matter the outcome and so didn't want to start the rebuild of the squad for an as yet unknown manager. So they played out the season with pretty much the same squad as the year before giving Celtic a chance to get closer to them and as history books show they overtook them for that season.
In other words there may be a change in celtics future but they really need to plan as if there is not and keep the pressure on Rangers and the board to keep up.

Smith brought in loads for 10.

Niemi
Amoruso
Negri
Thern
Vidmar
Gattuso
Stensaas
Porrini

Think that was best part of 25-30m which was pretty hefty in 1997

We just had a very good manager back when Rangers went for 10.

I agree. I don't think it's fair to say rangers didn't throw everything at it.

Celtic on a smaller budget bought better in 1997-98. Burley, Larsson, Rieper and Lambert are stand out signings.

I see.

So you didn’t make a Kant of the valuation, just the currency symbol

To be fair if Kamara was down in the Championship he’d probably go for 8m. We’d be better loaning guys like him out down there

Well before taking account of corona virus.

Would’ve thought we’d be looking at the freebies available this summer before looking at Hagi. Could be a lot of options given uncertainty

Sitting in the car at vets carpark waiting to pick up the cat. Listening to Springsteens hits, what a great set of songs.
Nothing to do with the current topic but hey ho.

Whether PL is complicit in the 5-way and / or res 12 stuff, it would still be a very Celtic thing to be overly-cautious this window and blow it. Especially if the CL is a non-starter for any reason.

Aribo has moments where he looks like a huge talent and moments where he looks like he was pulled out the crowd. Sometimes within seconds of the other.

Ah, the Samaras conundrum except you could tell after 5 minutes with that lump and might as well have subbed him there and then.

United are seemingly going to strengthen the winger area, not before time. Seemingly three of the United staff are following the recruitment guy of a Finnish team who have a winger we are interested in.

I remember we were linked with Ahmed Yasin Ghani but nothing came of that. I just hope they are looking at a playmaking midfielder, striker and center-half as well.

Neilson our old manager is after a central midfielder. We've got King here who is looking to join you back at Hearts. Make it happen Robbie, you like making lazy signings like Sow, Pawlett and Nesbitt. Had them all at MK Dons signed them for United and all were / are poor for DUFC.

Finally I'd just like to wish any other team in the Championship good luck in winning the title. For Hearts fans I can only hope your eyes don't begin to bleed as Neilsons football is that bad and then some.

Seemingly Stoke City are in talks with Lawrence Shankland. Michael O'Neill coming back to raid his old club.
