Probably a bit of smoke and mirrors from Liverpool. We've a really good relationship with all Red Bull teams apparently and I suspect Liverpool are just waiting. I can't fault FSG's work in the transfer market much if ever these days, they're VERY good at it.

Maybe we wont sign anyone again, maybe it will take one or two big transfers to get the market going a bit.

On a seperate note I've just watched a video of Rooney absolutely smashing Ronaldo when at Everton. I've not seen it before. It made me laugh tbh, it's the most Englishy English Football thing I've seen in a long while.

I think most clubs are loving the idea of a quiet window, if it drives prices down. The only ones making any drama will be clubs with players with short contracts remaining, desperate to get anywhere near their previous covid valuation.

Always felt the timing couldn't be more perfect for newcastle, if they get taken over, to grab some top players for good prices. They could spend 100-200 mill and potentially get so much value.

Not convinced timo would work at Liverpool as their front 3 is quite unique. I could be wrong though as he looks top draw and way worth the prices quoted

I read it was the right rather than the left. Though he will be a good signing he is very similar wo what we have. He'd be a great replacement of Martial but not an alternative (hence why Ighalo has been a surprise). What we need on the right is a player who naturally plays that position hence Sancho being put in the number 1 target.

I know he started off on the right before being moved central, but with many players they change positions until they find the right fit. For United a natural on the right is a bigger priority though we do need a DM and CF. Werner would be similar to what we already have up front, and we saw how important to have different options in the side.

RBL play with 2 strikers up top so if he's on the left of the 2 he drifts to the left to create space...if he's on the right he drifts to the right. That's it.

It's him being able to play as a lone striker, is what everyone should worry about.

That's where Havertz has the edge over him. He has excelled as the lone striker while still comfortably being able to play wide and as a 10. Only issue is he is likely to cost double.

Where does Werner play for Germany?...I think that will give us a better indication.
