People talk about the CL, but its a knockout competition, the last time the best team in the world won it was 14-15 probably, its a complete raffle. Hard to knock him for that even if itis disappointing

Real madrid weren't the best team when they won 3 in a row?

He's won more than any other PL manager in the last 3.5 seasons so I reckon he's doing quite well.

Perhaps you could expand on the 'a bunch of domestic cups' comment and compare them to the achievents of other managers during this period.

Honestly man, I can't be bothered counting them

But he could have won every domestic cup in that period, it wouldn't have made up for the lack of not just winning the CL, but not even reaching a semi final.

I'd take 10 FA cups right now over 1 Champions league

I think most would take the CL.

To be completely honest, I'll take the shame of only winning 3 League Cups, 2 Premier League titles, 2 community Shields and a record breaking FA Cup to being in a semi-final.

Real were the better team on the big occasion for the CL, Barcelona the more consistent team for winning league titles.

I’d probably say a seven due to the manner of the title wins. But the pretty average league campaigns either side and CL failures do go against him.

Are 2/4 league titles enough for Pep Guardiola though. The guy won 3/4 titles at Barcelona and 3/3 at Bayern. 2/4 at City is a big drop off and I think most very good managers could have won 2 league titles at City in 4 years.

the cups don't mean that much when looking at the bigger picture.

8. He's won a lot and City have been at times outstanding on the eye but also outstanding it picking up results. With not even a CL final, he has to lose two marks.

10?! Nobody would take one CL for ten FA Cups

I think they do, you can't put a semi final appearance in your trophy cabinet.

I don't know or care how many FA Cups any of the big teams in England have won

I know how many CLs all of them have won though.

Don't liverpool fans themselves always say "18/6"
Where are the number of FA Cups?

Yeah but 10 years from now no ones gonna remember the domestic cups Guardiola won.

That's because your football expeience is sitting on your big fat ar$e, munching Doritos and swilling down Pepsi Max.

It also explains why you're 53, single, still living with your parents (who secretly hate you) and have continuous treatment for an extensive range of personality disorders.

7/10

* Inherited a ridiculously strong side with almost limitless funds

* There style of play has been breathtaking, so full marks for that

* Failed on the European stage which is BIG minus points.

8/10..the only thing he could have done more is win the CL. If that’s the only thing ‘missing’ you’ve done a very good job.

I think this and the first league campaign bring him down a point.

He's still in with a chance of winning 5 trophies this season.

Probably have to settle for another measly Quadruple though.

posted on 4/6/20

Five trophies? When did Pep win a quadruple?

posted on 4/6/20

Ooops, I forgot the Community Shield only counts when Liverpool or United win it.

posted on 4/6/20

They don’t consider it a trophy either. But how is Pep in with a chance of winning five trophies?
