No one will be buying mbappe this year. No one. He is on about half a mill a week or something mental, just out his teens, one of the world's best players and at one of the richest clubs, under a lengthy contract.
Timo is different. Over a 5 year contract 50 million is nothing. Liverpool could easily afford it.
After the player pretty much begged to play for Liverpool it seems klopp decided he wasn't a great fit.
I do think he will suit Chelsea better as they play a more counter attacking style, and timo is no where near as effective when his teams have lots of the ball.
Dembele would be pointless as the guy cannot play 3 games b2b and barely plays.
I think havertz is worth pushing the boat out for way more than mbappe and timo/Dembele.
Remember when we paid £30m for Salah and Mane and everyone laughed?
How about when we splashed £60m on Alisson? Or £75m for VVD?

Yeah I think the trick is to sign a player who can play a few positions, meaning he gets a load of games anyhow. For example Werner could have came in for any if the front three. Or a player like Havertz who can play furthest forward of the midfield three and even potentially the Firmino role.

I would say the club have had to reevaluate the plans they've put in place and will have a new plan heading into the 'summer', in regards to what they are doing for next season. If that means no news players, then fine, the current players are doing the job and we may be in a strong position for the following preseason, when everything hopefully has settled down.

I would say the club have had to reevaluate the plans they've put in place and will have a new plan heading into the 'summer', in regards to what they are doing for next season. If that means no news players, then fine, the current players are doing the job and we may be in a strong position for the following preseason, when everything hopefully has settled down.

Love your optimisim but if we won't pay £50m for Werner then we can kiss goodbye to Havertz, Sancho, Dembele etc. Couple of frees and bargain basement dealings is my guess.

Diogo Jota is a quality young player. Considering your front 3 is pretty much set in stone and he would be replacing Shaqiri, it seems a strange opinion to be turning your nose up at Jota.

He isn't a Liverpool fan. He created a new account when the Werner news came out about him going to Chelsea and proceeded to post absolute nonsense about the owners and them not spending money.
He then decided Jones from the academy isn't good enough, despite being one of the biggest prospects to come through in years and actually performing in the few chances he's had.
The biggest tell is when he posts a WUM comment like above with a laughing smiley. Why would a Liverpool fan post a WUM comment about their own club and laugh about it?
He didn't even put any effort in to lay any sort of groundwork to make himself believable, just went straight in. Poor WUM.
Liverpool fans aren't falling for it, others will catch on soon enough.
