Im bricking it again.
My predictions for our last 9 games i said loss at cardiff and for fulham i said we would daw.
God please get 3 points tomorrow.
Oh and the ref is Tony Harrington. Absolute 5hit referee.
If we win tomorrow, it's all but over. But if we lose, still in a great position.
If we lose, we are still 4 points clear with 7 games remaining. We've been in the position of 'chasers' before looking at the playoffs and automatic spots when we've been 5 points or so off and thinking "if we put a run together". Fact is, it very rarely happens for teams to make up that sort of a gap in the final set of games. Even when we went on that poor run in Jan and February, we never actually dropped out the top 2. Fulham and Brentford haven't shown that consistency.
It's a big game but it's not all or nothing.
Brentford last 8 results before lockdown: 3 wins, 4 draws, 1 loss
Fulham last 8 results before lockdown: 4 wins, 2 draws, 2 losses
Unlikely they will suddenly put together 6 wins+ in the last 8. If we get 4 wins, I think we're fine. Brentford worry me more as their run in is better than Fulham but it would still take a hell of a run and a hell of a collapse by us.
well this is a very tough game to predict.
think if we score early - nerves could settle and we could win it really well. they score first, and it could be a very painful watch
My point is we have baggage from previous seasons maybe such as Fulham, WBA and certainly not Brentford have no such end of season baggage like we do? The pressure to achieve promotion lies heavily with us, probably more than the other teams in the frame.

West Brom also got knocked out of the play-offs last season. I think we both deserve to go one better and get promoted this season.

You're not wrong!
Interesting match this eveninig - Brentford / West Brom
It's a must win to settle nerves.
NJS.. posted the below on another thread, thought it was fitting! A lot in your article could be answered in the players mindset of looking backwards at Fulham! Or thinking let’s go win it, bollox to this league !

Totally get the point of view of wanting Brentford to lose!
But there’s something in head that’s all shades of wrong about that! We SHOULD, being in the top two all season be thinking about westbrom and fighting for a title. Showing the ambition to finish the position we’ve been going for all season
But, we all know promotion is what really counts, this is why we all look backwards at Brentford and Fulham!... looking backwards makes you nervous in sports!.. and that’s what we all ate right now! Dreading the worse possible outcome
