Dele next to Lo Celso

I would play

Aurier Dier Toby Sessengon
Winks Lo Celso Ndombele
Son Kane Bergwijn

Jose will change fack all though. And to be honest team selection won't really matter under this dinosaur because they aren't coached.

I'd have the same line up but have Dier next to Toby. If/when Tanganga is fit I'd consider him over Aurier.

IF everyone is fit :

Lloris
Aurier Sanchez Tanganga Sess
Lamela Foyth GLC
Bergwijn Son Dele

Bench
Kane, Sissoko, Ndombele, Dier, Toby, Jan, Moura, Davies.

Agentinian midfield with Foyth in the DM role. GLC pulling the strungs and Lamela working like a dog doing what he does. Top three pressing and interchanging. Fullbacks have got license to roam up and down the wings.

The OP makes a good point that these games should be used to experiment.

Take someone like Sess. He probably isn't a left back, but he has no chance of breaking into the front 3 attacking miss. We all know Davies is bang average, hell never be more than that. So give Sess 6 PL starts in a row. Let's see what he's got.

Compare him to Saka at Arsenal. He's a young winger who played LB for a bit in a crisis. Just looks like an outstanding young player who's getting better with minutes wherever he plays.

If Ndombele doesn't start every game for the rest of the season then Jose can fack off.

I would not want Ndombele anywhere near the midfield because he has not got the will, desire or pace to track back. The only place I can find for him is the left sided winger ir behind the main striker but he probably has not got the legs to press. Right now he is dud.

Sissoko is 30 years old now, if an offer of around £20m or more came in, we should bite their hands off.

He is a useful squad player, gets around the pitch and always puts in a shift, but he is neither a dedicated defensive, creative or attacking player, his passing and decision making is poor, and he freezes within sight of goal.

Sissoko is a player we can upgrade upon, we could do with better than what he provides.

Agree with this. Sissoko has improved a lot from when he first joined and has even been one of our better players since we've been in our downturn of form, but he's never going to be a real top quality player that this club needs to get back to where it is.

Apparantely Tanganga and Foyth are out for the rest of the season

I wouldn't bother with aurier either if he's not gonna be here next season

Hugo
Gedson Toby Dier Davies
Skipp
Gio Ndombele
Bergwijn Kane Son

With Sess, Dele and Winks getting rotated into that team to see what works best

Lamela, Lucas, Sissoko and Sanchez should all just be cover for us now

Jose just said Dele has picked up an injury in training. Might be fit for Everton. No big loss.

Jose digging out the players again

Says the team's lack of desire on Thursday "disturbs" and "destroys him a little bit inside"

You’d like to think José will use this time to try different things out. But I’m expecting to see a similar lineup again on Monday.

Agree entirely about N’Dombele and Sessegnon. Time to give them a run of games and see.

These are the same players who downed tools for the beloved Poch.

Got to admit for all his faults, it’s hard to disagree with José about the lack of desire amongst our players. It was there for all to see.

posted on 4/7/20

Even if that is the case (im not sure it is, I think people just assume that because of the lack of pressing when that was clearly tactical) I don't see how jose saying this helps. Just seems like more of him shifting the blame.

Watching Ndombele run around the pitch is painful, that guy was not built for running

Probably the worse signing we have ever made when you factor in cost and general laziness of the guy. 65 mil for a heap of s**. Only Spurs could break our transfer record on a dud like that.
