Damn, 10 years already.
Wavin Flag was a brilliant anthem for the World Cup.
Also the PS3 game for the tournament had every nation who played in the qualifying stage. Had some laughs taking Djibouti and Laos to World Cup glory.
Unbelievable how quick it’s gone. Looking back, that period of football was peak. Spain and Barca, the consistency of quality was unparalleled. Even PL for a couple of seasons leading to that WC win was at its best.
I was doing my A-levels back then. Gosh time flies. That Spanish 2008-2012 team is one of the greatest I've ever seen winning 3 tourneys in a row. That 2010 final was so dirty though, Howard Webb trying to control everything.
The 2008 side was the most thrilling, imo, and it also had an element of the unexpected.
Del Boy's approach was more conservative that Zapatones'.
