Well done Leeds. Better team today and the best team in the Championship this season.

Some great comments on here from opposition Fans, Thanks Very Much,
I for one will miss you all on the Matchday Threads. Like saying goodbye to a lot of old mates, we had our differences but we all had a love of good football

Thanks for joining in on the banter and Best of Luck for the upcoming season

Cheers Highland. It’s good to see that there are some decent Leeds fans around, though they do seem to be a little outnumbered on this site by the keyboard warrior numpties......

Honest assessment, thank you!

You lot must be very disappointed with this season, following last season. The stark contrast between a very bloated and heavy Ronney with the lean and mean Leeds players was striking!

What an expensive, failed experiment for you.

Jonny, If you think Rooney is a failed experiment then you are clearly not fully abreast of the situation at Derby.

Yeah he's pulled you up from midtable to...

Oh wait

Rooney hasn’t been very good in the last two or three games but overall he has been terrific, however much fans at other clubs might wish it to be otherwise. Almost the entire team is different this season to last so just looking at the final league position doesn’t tell you what has gone on at the club. The majority of Derby fans are happy with the direction the club is heading.

I accept that as I have only been aware of your club during your drunk driving scandals and when we played you.

Feel free to enlighten me and the others.

Jonny

Derby over-achieved last season through the individual brilliance of Mount, Wilson and Tomori. These players papered over a few cracks in the team. We lost these players and the first two weren’t replaced. Injuries have severely affected the team, some self-inflicted of course. Keogh, Wisdom, Huddlestone, Holmes, Marriott - vital players - have missed all or large parts of the season as have some others. A lot of young players have been blooded but without much experience in the side it is hard for them to get up to speed. Rooney has been key to guiding them. A change of manager naturally disrupts continuity and Cocu’s late arrival pre-season meant he had little time to get the players in he would have wanted to if he had had more time to assess the squad.

Overall the season has been a success, relatively speaking, though it might not appear so from the outside.

Thanks for sharing.

Honest question - how many years of rebuilding will you accept?

Will Rooney still be at your club next season? Playing? Coaching?

Never shy, I'm here as always,

Enjoy the new adventure, without doubt its well deserved and the PL will be bolstered by Leeds return.

I won't be visiting because how can I laugh at you losing to Utd, Liverpool, City whilst we could be getting a lesson from Wycombe.

Take care, stay safe. ✌️

I haven't got much choice but to “accept” it, no matter what. I don’t think most fans measure it in years, they just want to feel the club is progressing overall. Rooney will be here next time around. Maybe a proper pre-season will rejuvenate him. More likely he will reduce the number of minutes he plays depending on who we might have to compete for his position.
