Good news, rather Willian play for them in the front 3 than one of Pepe/Auba/Laca, makes them weaker. Plus Willock/Maitland-Niles are arguably better and blocks them as well
Always liked him and it his best, performed well for Chelsea.
Sometimes, he was the only one doing so
Sad news. Would've liked him to stay on for another year or two.

Aw, it’s been coming for a while but still feels weird he’s gone now. And does feel weird to lose him when you know he could probably be fine as a squad player for another year I think, but fair enough for not giving into the three year contract for him.
One of our longest serving players and certainly ranks highly if you were to rank our wingers over last 20 years. I did under-appreciated him I think his first 2-3 years, but when you think about it he is just a very talented player, he had more than a few almost Hazard-like games where he looked ‘untouchable’.

Fantastic technical ability, with immense fitness - and possibly our most consistent performer over the past seven years. At his best he could be brilliant - but he never quite seemed to fulfill his potential. His end product was often lacking, which frequently frustrated fans.
Plus, he just turned 32, so Chelsea offering him a 2 year deal at this stage was more than fair in my opinion. If he can get a 3 year deal from Arsenal with an extra optional year - that would take him until he’s 36. So good for him I guess.
