Damn - I was hoping for "ex-lax" as it would describe our effect on some of the opposition!
Was hoping that it wouldn't be another bookmaker, it does nothing for our public image.

I initially had the same reaction Els.
Personal whine, I prefer 32 Red's logo of this lot.
However, I much prefer the potential money this
sponsor can bring us. In other words, my desire
to have a top drawer sponsor with a well designed
logo means nothing compared to signing players.
Just checked, us, West Ham, Fulham and Wolves are the only clubs with bookies as Principle Partners.
Some dreadful sponsor logs in the Premier League. Think this looks much better than a lot of them. At the very least we have removed the word red from the chest of our shirts.
Hopefully a lucrative deal that helps us fund a few signings.
SBOBET seams to be the name if company.
Not sure what the SBOTOP is meant to represent?
I was hoping it would be PUKKA Pies

SBOTOP is what has been announced. Seen someone suggest it may be them trying to be less on the nose in the current climate?

Agree (reluctantly) that the main driver of this is
to bring much needed funds to the club. And if
that's what we need to fund players coming in
Disgraceful and hypocritical!
Gambling is a significant social problem that ruins lives.
Should not be promoting it on team jerseys just as cigarettes and alcohol cannot be.
Players found gambling receive bans from the league - Jordan Stevens?
Poor show on the part of the FA to allow this. One wonders what other offers Leeds United had. Was the next one even close to being as lucrative?

Agree.
True Jonny.
And yes, I'm guilty of being hypocritical.
I want the club to succeed, the right way.
But more than that, just want us to stay
in the Prem.
UK people cant even access the website licensed in Asia, Europe and Philippines where they are based.
I’m also disappointed that it is another gambling associated sponsor. However, if the name isn’t known in the UK and the majority of British fans don’t even know who they are (as I didn’t) then maybe it isn’t quite as bad as 32red. We will probably get a wide Asian etc fanbase watching us if they have placed bets on our games. Not that betting is to be recommended!

I understand.
It is the leagues’ and FA’s hypocrisy that I am calling out.
Am assuming because betting agencies are one of the only companies that can still offer money unlike airlines and travel companies right now.
Don’t agree with, think betting should not be advertised at all.
I just think it’s a shame we are discussing the new sponsor rather than the 5 new signings I was expecting already in and whether the club have found Ouasim Bouy yet
People who are moaning about this sponsor
99% would creaming if the Qatar’s lot come.
