EFL appeal tribunal decision

If the EFL knew about the method of amortisation used by Derby and said nothing before, then what have Derby done wrong? We didn't hide the method in creative accountancy, it was all done in plain sight. It does seem vindictive but the EFL have a history of vindictiveness when made to look like the rank amateurs they are.

Watching something really sad on the Tv about lives lost during the Covid so excuse me if I don't humour you.

I think it's pathetic. I truly hope that this appeal gets thrown out as the last one did. It's the EFL clubs that ultimately pay the bills for this but no doubt Gibson will be rubbing his hands in glee......

I dont see what could have changed to be honest and if Derby were to be successful again then they would be well within their rights to sue the EFL

In other news the head of the Polish FA has been directly quoted "Tomorrow, the day after tomorrow Jozwiak will go to Derby County as I hear everything is ready"

Hope he is better than some recent Polish recruits. Bellyache and Kaz whatever his name was and had played in the Champions league didn't live up to expectations.

Club Statement

Derby County Football Club is surprised and disappointed to hear the EFL has decided to appeal against the decision of the independent Disciplinary Commission with respect to the second charge against it concerning its policy regarding the amortisation of intangible assets (player registrations).

As is evident from its detailed reasoning, the Disciplinary Commission considered the Charge with great care before dismissing it.

If the EFL is concerned about the wider implications of the ruling then it has always been open to it to recommend a rule change requiring defined amortisation policies, but it has not done so. The Club believes that pursuing a case based on conflicting opinions about accounting policies which, even if the EFL succeeded, would have only led to the Club re-submitting its P&S calculations, is a further waste of the EFL’s resources and an unnecessary distraction to the Club.

The Club shall vigorously resist the appeal and shall make no further comment until it has been determined.

Apparently we have broken a rule which the EFL have never told anyone about.

Spart, I reckon if he was any good a prem club would have got him, it's not like it's a secret that we want him.

You wont like him VC, he's a left winger.

Badum-Tish. Spart scores. Open goal left by the experienced Heb. He won’t be happy with that.

Heb, I disliked Leighton James as much as I dislike Tommy Tuppence. When James was signed we were top of the league, he replaced my favourite ever player Kevin Hector and we were never the same team again. He was a rubbish player who thought he was better than he was like Tuppence and Ince.

Spart is right yet again, I don't like left wingers very much. That Joe Stalin was a nasty piece of work as well, I bet his picture is up in chez Spart.

That left winger Josefzooom I mostly don't like. Why couldn't we have signed Watkins???
