I'd echo the thoughts of others in the thread.
We need another winger? Even though our £72m man can't get starts? Even though youngsters like Saka, Nelson and ESR can barely get a look in?
Again, ACM we have options.
Auba isn't played on the left because we have no other option, he is played on the left because managers think he is best there.
Gabriel looks a great signing from the early signs. Ceballos has alot to offer. Soares and Mari add depth.
It all depends what the OP means by challenge. If he means for the title then I think he is a bit unrealistic. If he means the top 4, then this squad should be able to be very much in the fight.
The big disappointment of this window is the failure to sell anyone we wanted to.

To play football. Because playing him is detrimental to everything Arteta is trying to do on a football pitch and what he has achieved thus far by freezing him out.
--------------------------------
He deserves to be played so everybody can see how bad he is, after that they can freeze him out and everybody will agree with the decision. It's silly and ridiculous to pay a player £350k every week to pick his nose from the stands. Makes no sense at every level.

Possibly the worst logic I’ve heard in my life. Ozil fanboys are a strange breed

This!!!!!!!
We hardly sold anyone, and people are complaining that we are still 2 short?
That's the real worry!
Entitled, whingey cringefest.
Best window we've had for a long time. 3 players that will make a real difference to the starting XI (Gab, Willian, Partey), kept Ceballos for another season, renewed our star player (Auba), renewed our biggest young talent (Saka) and kept the likes of Mait/Laca/Bellerin despite of real interest.
Only blip is Martinez, but we can see why he went.
For a club on a budget, I think we've done superb.
We are having a fire sale this week if anything takes your fancy

Some moaning for the sake of it.
Yes, there is always space to do better. But we dont live on a isle where everything is perfect.
Corona is a factor why every single club reluctant to buy and mostly loan players out.
We spend heavily alone on Thomas Partey. I am more than happy with this window and never would have thought we would get him after reading twitter yesterday morning.
